Lori, did you ever get your blood results back?
So happy to here about the improvements!lorihadams said:Yes, I posted on the other thread.....I called the doctor's message service and she said my iron levels were good, really good, not anemic at all. She said my B12 was also very good....when I called she had not gotten my results back from the gliadin antibody test but reminded me that it could come back negative and advised me to stay on the diet if I was feeling better, which I am, thank you very much!
I haven't had to take a stool softener since the 3rd day of going gluten free. I'm pooping every day baby http://www.pic4ever.com/images/2uge4p4.gif
It sounds silly, I know but when you've been constipated for YEARS it's a big deal.
The headaches are gone, so is the dizziness, still cold in the extremities but the numbness is pretty much gone, gas is not a big issue anymore (my hubby is grateful for that one ), and I don't get the I gotta go lay down before I fall asleep standing up feeling anymore. No extreme fatigue...just normal SAHM of a 3 and 5 yr old fatigue
You can tell your granny that I can promise her, if she cuts out gluten, she will feel like a kid again energy wise.lorihadams said:Got all the pictures from the year organized and copied onto a memory card for all the grands....I've been working on that for the last 4 hours....man am I glad that's done.
I reminded my granny that if she cooks for me for xmas eve or day, that's if we even get to go with the impending snow storm, that she has to be sure it is GF or I will get sick.
She is super excited about the poop issue....she's thinking of cutting out the gluten to see if it helps her....she has severe constipation. She eats like a bird, drinks about 4 oz of liquid a day when she takes her pills, she has gerd (feels like she's gonna and actually does throw up her food while eating), and lives on Club crackers and fried chicken from KFC......don't even go there cause I have tried.
I tried explaining that if she doesn't drink any water she is dehydrated all the time. Her response was that if she drinks more than a glass of water a day she swells up and gets so bloated she can't stand it.....well, duh, cause your body is hoarding what little moisture you are giving it and the only way for the bloating to go away is to give your body the water it needs every day, not just here and there.
I love her but she frustrates me.
Did they do the blood test or the stool test?lorihadams said:B-buff, I don't know, probably should call again to see but it often tests negative even if an allergy is present so for me it doesn't really matter at this point. My body has told me all I need to know.
