Well, Chad has been sick all week and out of work...paid sick days, thank god...thank you verizon. It finally got bad enough today that he went to the doctor...and guess what? Pneumonia! No work for the rest of the week, can't tell you how happy my kids are about that! They love it when daddy stays home.

The car is STILL NOT out of the shop. The guy keeps putting us off. Chad said, "At least I've saved some money this week, I haven't had to buy gas!"

Hopefully, it will be ready tomorrow evening. I have to go Saturday and finish Christmas shopping. I am going to go try to find a gator...they have one in Farmville at TSC so I'll probably end up there. We are trying to figure out where everyone is going to sleep for Christmas and I still have not put up our Christmas tree...

I'm glad that Chad got sick in a way because he needs to rest and get some work done...we're trying to get some more t-shirt designs done for the mafia and hopefully we'll get the new stuff soon. He had a hunt scheduled for this Saturday but will have to cancel since he's sick. I'll try to get the pics of the kids up soon, probably tomorrow.

Ugh, Tyler is out of his bed again...gotta go, check in later.

Okay, so tell me how we are supposed to keep a straight face when we ask our 3 yr old why he is awake and this is his reply.
"Because I can't sleep"
"why can't you sleep?"
"Because I have the hiccups..."

Now how are we supposed to not laugh at that?

Anyway, here are the pics of my little donkey and sheep. They had to wear a hat that they got from Oriental Trading Co. Tyler was a donkey...had to dress all in gray. Madelyn was a sheep and had to dress all in white. The hats are kind of hard to see because they kept moving around but here are the ones that we got. Oh, btw, I'm sitting behind my daughter in the green sweater if anyone is curious.

I wish I could have gotten a picture of all the animals but we were videotaping the play with our still camera (it has 45 min of video with sound). Every time the kids leaned their heads back the hats would slide back...

It looked like you were looking up the donkey's or sheep's noses!

They were really cute...I was the anxious stage mother, of course, and Chad videoed everything like the proud father that he was! You all have kids...you know how it is!

Thats why my co-workers tease me - I'm a Social Worker at Child Protective Services - it can be a stressful job - and I go to work 40 hours a week - to REST!! Work at home is HARD!! I do both - you know what I mean??

Hope he recovers fast. tell him to be careful and relax cause that is nothing to mess with...can get bad fast. Yea sad when it takes getting sick to slow down...what is with us..HA HA

Awwwwww. . . really cute kids. I miss the days when my DS would actually participate in stuff. Not cool anymore for him.

Thanks everyone...we think they're cute too! Then again, we're partial!

Chad is about the same today but got a phone call from our doctor today to see how he was doing and she told him to stay out of work again tomorrow. He's going to have to apply for FMLA but it shouldn't be a problem.

I went out this evening and while I was gone Madelyn got stuck in her brother's trash can!!! Chad said he was laying on the couch with Tyler watching tv when he noticed that Maddie was nowhere to be found. All of a sudden he said he heard, "Hep, Daddy, I tuck!" It was so cute that he grabbed the camera and took a couple pictures of her so I could see it before he rescued her!

Today has been a lazy day...made pumpkin muffins, watched the chickens, and now we're laying on the couch watching The Cosby Show. I love that show...I miss television like that...stuff that the entire family could actually watch together and not worry about inappropriate language or behavior or people killing everyone. Loved the Golden Girls too...I still get a kick out of watching that show.

Sometimes I wish it could be simpler again, you know?

Well where are the pictures of her stuck in the trash can??? We want to see too!!! That sounds hilarious!! We have a big lego can that the kids get stuck in all the time...on purpose!

yea I liked the Golden Girls...still catch some repeats on tv sometimes. Haven't seen Cosby on for some reason. Well, don't catch tv til late at night but you are so right, so much is forensic nightmares, murder and how good we can get away with it...LOL...

I chatted with Tony about shows the other day in the car......remember the Carol Burnett show or specials like Donny and Marie and all that.....corny I know but those shows are gone! I remember all the 1 hour Christmas specials that would come on, tons of singing and all that...no where to be found now. Times sure do change.
