Biscuit is the white cockerpoo, Gunnar is the black miniature poodle incognito as a terrier! They are both being angelic, but you can see that Gunnar is still not so sure about having a new brother!

ok, ya'll it's only been two days since I changed my diet and I've got a question.

I feel like crap! My body hurts, I got a headache yesterday evening and I feel like I just stretch enough. I'm sure that doesn't make any sense.

could it be my diet?
Sounds like you are severely dehydrated. What you are feeling is not normal. If you continue to feel this bad or worse, stop your new diet and seek medical attention. When you want to restart the diet, work with a dietician. A sudden change in diet is very hard on the body. It can be potential dangerous if not done right. It should be done slowly.
Well, I don't think I'm dehydrated. I've been drinking iced tea all day. We have big glasses (probably 32oz +/-) and I've filled it up 3 or 4 times today. I never drink plain water.
It is not just getting enough water. It is about getting enough electrolytes aka salts. I experienced similiar symptoms when I ran. Use to see it all the time in other athletes. Muscle cramps and headaches are the first sign of trouble. Ice tea that has caffeine and a sudden switch to high protein diets cause you to lose quite a bit of water and salt fast. Start drinking a sports type drink, fruit juice or a product like emergen-c. Slow down and rest for a few days. Your body needs to restore it's potassium balance.

If you have a decent blender, try a Green Smoothie. Blend together kefir, yogurt or raw milk, filtered water and ice, with spinach, carrots, banana, cabbage and any other fruit or veggie you like. I also add coconut oil or flax oil. Add a little honey or stevia for sweetness if the banana isn't ripe enough. There are lots of recipes online. It's the easiest way to get a LOT of greens in you fast.

I have to disagree on the sports drinks, juice, and such. Use a good salt like Celtic or Redmond. I didn't see an electrolyte-free two days unless all those foods were salt-free. Doubt it.

Yep, more pure foods soon, but one thing at a time. Sports drinks are as bad or worse than diet drinks.

Here is a homemade electrolyte drink that is far, far better than any commercial drink. A friend who is studying to be an herbalist gave it to me when we were talking about the flu and dehydration:

Basic electrolyte drink:

4 oz water (half cup)
1 tsp honey
1 tsp lemon juice or raw apple cider vinegar
pinch of Celtic salt

Better version (make up ahead of flu season and keep the concentrate in the fridge):

Put chopped fresh horseradish root in a jar. Fill with raw apple cider vinegar.

In another jar, put chopped garlic and onions. Fill with raw wildflower honey (other honeys may contain pesticide residue, etc.)

Let both sit for three weeks. Strain, mix together, add Celtic salt. Use 2 tsp in 4 oz water as often as desired.

All the veggies she listed are high in potassium. She does need more, though! Munch, munch, munch, my little bunny wabbit! :p

my emma would love to play with them. I'd post a pic, but I can't figure out how.

Okie how are you feeling? When I cut out process carb crap.....chips, crackers, commercial granola bars, cookies, etc....I went thru a funk. But now all of my daily sugar cravings are gone! I was on the insulin roller coaster and it had to be hard on my body...coming off of that did take a bit of time.

I love the ziplock baggie idea Free...gonna use that for sure!
I have to admit that I am not good with veggies (hmm....wonder where the kids get it from?) but your idea of portioning it out is very helpful!

Like Hannalee....I live to sneak some green into my morning smoothie.

I have been having a daily smoothie with blackberries, banana, strawberry, spinach, yogurt and filtered water. I am not a big leafy green eater and I love that I can hide some spinach in my breakfast, but what else should I add to give my day a good start? I know Free adds egg yolk, and probably more veggies!

Any idea on how to bump up the nutrition in my concoction?
