Just a warning...Some products like whole grain breads for example, can be HIGHER GI than the white breads. Sounds counter-intuitive, I know.
And this is also a YMMV thing. If you have done too much damage to your system or genetically are predestined for glucose metabolism issues, switching to whole grains (low GI) from processed grains (high GI) may not make one bit of difference.
I was a whole grain user for years. I still was obese and had high blood pressure. Only counting total carbs and staying under 50g/day did me any good.
