Well... after a very loud discussion with Ultramar, she has cancelled with them and called Woods Fuel which by luck happens to be the old supplier to the old old old owners meaning we don't need an inspection BUT we still need a credit check and won't have oil until Friday... maybe.

Though, we nearly did get hit by a superior propane truck on the way up Huff today and then when I got home realized the propane had been topped up so that's pretty awesome.

Great news about the propane, LF!

I think if you can afford cash, they may deliver without a credit check, so you can get the fuel faster. At least that is they way most of the fuel oil companies work around here. Promise them cash up front and they will be there asap.

how do you heat though? Is the propane being used for heat? or is it oil you are waiting on?

We don't have the cash, we pay by cheque. They said if we wanted to pay by credit card they'd be there asap but WTF.

Very annoying.

Anyway, hoping to have water tonight... the well guy is here and we finally got a tank to put diesel in (looked for hours for one all over).

and we picked up some diesel so we have heat enough until the woods guy comes.


oh... and I got into the final competition through the Poetry Institute of Canada in the Young Writers competition.

... my poem, ' Unpacking, ' is going to be in their book Midnight Song which is sold in stores in the spring!

First, we got oil delivered friday.

Second, we have got one seed catalog so far and it's from Stokes Seeds.

Third, i have to go and buy a new chicken waterer because kevin broke ours by smashing it against the side of the coop while trying to get the ice out.

Fourth, i'll post my poem later on tonight... i have to find my USB key first LOL

Fifth, i have exams next week and i have to present my writers portfolio for writers craft instead of an exam.
