I try to help him realize that he has a negative tape deck in his head. That the whole world is not out to get him.
FarmerDenise, is my DH living a double life out there in Cali with you? Just kidding of course, but still... wow that really sounds like my love. His theme song is Harvey Danger's Flagpole Sitta - "Paranoia, Paranoia, everybody's coming to get me..."

Keeping some things to yourself and not letting them out, can be detrimental to your well being. Those are the things to speak to a professional about.
11. But don't give up on yourself, because in the end no-one can help you, if you don't help yourself.

Great advice!!! You are right, FD! Some things just cannot be worked out on our own and may need professional help.

Its nothing to be ashamed about nor does it bear the stigma it used to. People are smart enough nowadays to realize that some things are beyond our abilities when it comes to deep hurts from the past or chemical imbalances of the present.

If therapy, counseling or medicine, can help you feel better, only you can take that step.
