Ever hear of Aflatoxin?
Mercury poisoning from fungicides used on the wheat? (That was in the 70's)
Rat poison was in wheat that killed a bunch of pets.
Salmonella poisoning happened from a bad batch of puffed wheat cereal.

Like I said before, it wasn't the wheat, but the factory treatment.

i'm all meat all the time! but nope i wont buy the supermarket stuff. we still think we are SO funny when we cruise thru the store and say to each other, do we need to get a pork roast? then we laugh laugh laugh. i think we are giving the meat dept guys a complex.

here's what was for dinner:

and yes, fermentation queens... that's kraut!

instead of standing around crying about why you cant have a chicken in your backyard or whatever other weird regulation/rule/HOA thinks... i think there should be tax incentives for growing your own food. instead of a "chicken in every pot" it should be - "a roaster in every yard!"

say that reminds me.. where is that creepy meatie, Legs.. his time has about come....

:)

(I have a batch of quail in the incubator. One roo may be kept since it looks like my current roo wont mate with the white quail...so Cricket will get a new younger man. Another roo may go to a BYC girl who's roo got eaten by a fox. All others will be fried in ghee :D )

Legs is my creapy meat roo that we were too a-scared of to butcher with the rest of the meaties this summer. we were kinda hoping he'd just flop over dead. but he hasnt. dang! he was the only meatie we got who had the icky leg malformation.

and since we were talking about growing your own meat.. made me kinda hungry for chicken!... like Legs!

:)

that is because this thread has been totally hijacked. Apparently there are some things we are not allowed to discuss.
