Oh, Morel the cold temps just leave me in awe. How do you all manage?
Those quilts are just beautiful. I saw the frayed style at the sewing store yesterday. They had some type of embroidery on various squares. It really looked great. I can't wait to put one together. I am working on aprons today and finishing some things I already have started.
Well this is how far I've gotten on the quilt so far...had to start it over, totally wrecked the other one with a crayon technique I tried to use:>) Oh well....
The top is almost finished, still a few little details here and there to add. Today i have to go get the batting for it and a backing material (flannel sheet) Here it is:>)
Thanks 2dream, yes I have been busy! Don't get on much when I'm in the middle of a project. On the top right hand corner, see that upside down snowmachine? That is RayJ' s cousin Fred Picotte. He is a snowpro freestyler who does backflips on a snowmachine. It is amazing to see. He has video footage of some of his tricks on youtube if you google his name.
Right now he is in real need of prayer, this week he was out snowmobiling with friends, tok a jump wrong and broke his back. He Had surgery on Tuesday and is in a body cast. Please pray for a positive and speedy recovery for him, he's only 23 years old, and a great kid. (young man) My son just adores him.
Morel, you amaze me with your talent! Have you ever thought of selling your creations? This one is very beautiful in its simplistic lines and coloring....I love it!!!
That quilt is stunning. You sound like me when you start a project - other things get pushed aside.
I'm sorry to hear about your young friend. I have a friend who was in her 60s when she broke her back in a car wreck - body cast, too.
She recovered with no ill effects at all. She still is an avid bowler and golfer. I'll pray for your friend's recovery.
My DS was watching the Winter X games yesterday. He was amazed that a guy did a double back flip on a snowmobile. Me too, actually.
Morel, you quilt is a work of art. You have a great eye for scale and depth. I am so sorry to hear of your friends accident. He must be a strong healthy young man to be so athletic. He ill recover in no time. Prayers his way.
