Hahahaha I've been super busy here with fencing and the like. I have to put up gates and hook up the electric. I hope we can get Mylie under saddle again soon because I'd love to get her going over some small cross rails for the upcoming show season as well as trail riding.

Dont take this the wrong way, but when I see your new horse that song "I like big butts" comes to mind!

And we thought Luna was a BRICK HOUSE!

Lupin, very pretty horse! And I like her big butt, BTW!  Horses with big butts make mine look smaller when I am riding them.... :p

My mother and I have gotten me back to walking each morning and it feels good. As soon as her stair climber gets here we will add this in the evening and will be using her rebounder as well. Thank God that my mother is active and is helping me to get back into a routine!

"I like big butts and I cannot lie! No other brothers can deny.." Oh, now I can't get that song out of my head!!!!

Wednesday: walked 2 miles up hill...to a bar, then got a ride back down. :D For obvious reasons. :p

Thursday (with a headache and all...) managed to walk 1 1/2 miles then said, forget it and came home. :/ You play you pay.

I spent my whole morning finishing the fencing for Mylie.

Now Mylie is here and in her paddock. She's munching away on the field (it's an alfalfa field that we've mown down to almost nothing, theres also quite a lot of grass out there too just incase you're wondering!). She seems content, and Luna doesn't seem to care anymore that she is there. My only concern is that now she is at home, she won't come up to me. At Gabriele's place she was just hanging out eating hay and I was able to pet her, pick up her feet, etc.

I'm hoping by the end of the week she'll have settled in enough and trust me enough that she'll come up to me readily like Luna does.

I'm putting her on some grain despite her weight just so she has a reason to come up to me, she'll be on about 1 cup of Purina Horse Chow twice a day so I think with the grain and me going down to see her and her settling in, she should come around.

I spoke to her farrier/trainer today and he said she was a very quick learner and she has a bright future despite the fact that he'd wished he could have kept her a bit longer for training. I'm hoping to get him to do some finishing training on her but I realize he's a busy farrier who services from our area all the way to the 519 area code (that's a huge distance) and may not be able to be here to train her. I might have to look into getting someone local to come out and train her.

Good for you Delia! Sand is hard to walk in isn't it?

I only did a 2 mile walk yesterday before the cold rain hit. :/

It was 66 degrees here this morning! The beach was empty-perfect! I like walking near the water, where the sand is harder, much easier to walk on then loose sand. :) I plan on doing it again tomorrow.
