Brrrr!!! It is too cold for me to start working outside. Lately, been having a hard time becoming motivated in the morning. However, if I tell you the temp here you will all laugh at me.

Now you have to tell!!

I have two trees down on my fence, so I suppose I will be sawing logs later. :/ And I don't mean napping!

It got down to 51 this morning. A few weeks ago it was down to about 45. That was a cold morning! Give me a break, i'm from CA. Bet you couldn't handle 100 degree weather with dignity.

Yeah, Texas, fun. I spent 35+ years in 100+ degree heat. During H. Rita the heat index was 115 and we had no power for 5 days...so yeah, I know hot. (And you are right, I could not handle it with dignity, I was the biggest baby about the heat. I annoyed everyone! :p)

I hate the heat and finally had enough last year after H. Ike when I lost power for 11 days. See ya TEXAS!!! Have not been back since.

At 51 degrees, I'm in heaven!

I was really referring to everyone in general who complain about the cold and say you don't understand in CA. I may not understand cold but I do heat. We had our first 100 degree day in April this year and our last in the end of September.

Really should stop complaining. We are predicted to have a warm, wet winter here. Probably won't even get frost. No frost in El Nino years but floods and mudslides. Now that you are on the West Coast you will see what I mean. The last big El Nino year in 98/99 was a doosy. 1995 was even worse.

We had a really crazy year (or so they tell me) and they are blaming the El Nino. I hope it gets back to normal this year.

I have to admit, I am just as much of a baby when I have to deal with snow. :p

My doggie is slowing down this year....his eighth birthday is coming up Oct 31. So a new hyper two-year-old doggie will be joining our family in a few days. This will require that I extend our walks, and maybe I will take an agility class with him in the spring, or whenever his basic obedience qualifies him to start. That will get me moving a LOT!

My current dog needs only 20 minutes or so to satisfy his need to move. I get lazy and only walk him this much now. The new one will need at least an hour, and the old guy will benefit from the increased exercise. Newbie will join us right after his neutering, so we will make the increase in exercise nice and gradual for the older dog....and me.....

Can't wait!

I can't wait to see his photo!

Oh, I miss the days when I had my lab. We went everywhere together, she was a wonderful exercise partner!

We gave up trying to exercise with St. Bernards.

Ok, just finished up a 4 1/2 mile brisk walk over hills in the 'hood and I really pushed it by going as fast as possible and used my dumbbells. (Dumbbells really has two b's I spell checked it :plbb It still doesn't look right though does it? :/ )
