Took on the Mountian again....9 more miles under my belt. This is the first time that I didn't feel defeated when I got to the top, I felt powerful!! It takes me about 3 1/2 to 4 hours to do the whole trail, my goal is to make it under 3 hours. :D

Yesterday I kayaked 15 miles. The way out wasn't too bad, the wind was at our backs, but the way back... It was hard work!! A lot of fun though!!! That's the most my arms have moved, ever! I felt very accomplished when I finally got back to the dock!

Blue Skys,

How fun! :ya I've never kayaked before but it is on my list of fun things to do in my life. They rent them up here on the Sound, but I am afraid of the severe tides we get.

So, where did you kayak in TX?

(Do you own your own? If so how much are they?)

Yesterday I spent more than an hour picking tomatoes.
Squat down, bend over, stand up, walk to cart, bend over, put tomatoes in box, straighten up, walk back to tomatoe plant climbing over vines, squat down, bend over, repeat....
That was after I did the same with the cucumbers for 15 minutes.

Actually, I keep wanting to go for walks, but by the time I am done with the farm work, I am too pooped to go walking. I usually sit down for a break and maybe a snack and fall asleep. When I wake up, it is time for evening chores.

Another benefit of exercise: Thank goodness I didn't blow off that last hour of scything. It was dark and I was still going and suddenly I heard Ginger FREAKING OUT in her stall. She was bawling up a storm, without stopping for air. I tossed the scythe and ran to her and found her stuck by one foot in her hay rack!!!!! She's had that rack for five months now! But her feet are suddenly bigger....so out came the drill, and the hay rack has very wide bars now....of course, I am wondering if she will find a way to get her head stuck in it!!!! Tomorrow, I think, it will come down and she will get a small feed tub to poop and pee on her hay in....

Well, I haven't posted here in a while, but I thought I would catch up with what I'm doing.

Every Monday-Saturday I am up to 20 minutes a day. I started at 5 and worked my way to 15 minutes, which is when I started slacking. I started over on Aug 17 doing 10 minutes.

Each Monday I add 5 minutes to my workout. I work 1 major muscle group for half that time, the other half is spent doing a full body cardio, like jumping jacks, jumping rope, trampoline, swimming or floor bicycles.

Mondays are arms, triceps & biceps, Tuesday is Hamstrings, Quads & buttocks, Wed is abs & center back, Thur is shoulders, chest & upper back, Friday is wrists, forearms, ankles & calves, Saturday is abs & back again, cause I need a little extra work there.
And on Sunday, I take a break from the entire thing and use the alloted time to meditate & do focus work.

This of course is on top of hauling food & shavings to the chickens, playing with my kids, checking on the erosion at the back of the lot & hauling railroad ties :p
