Started raining already- but I am NOT letting DH postpone doing this pig! Lol we can hang a tarp if we need to but it's going to happen today.

Pig is in the freezer! And it's starting to get windy. Let's hope we don't lose our power, lol or we'll be running the generator for a dead pig. Fed the animals just before it started really pouring, and now dinner is just about ready. DH is starting the boiler because it's cold in here and then we are in for the night!

WooHoo!!! I know you're glad to have that done! We started cold this morning, but turned out beautiful! Seventy degrees and not a cloud in the sky!

Oh nice sounds like a lovely day! Apparently we are having a coastal storm. There are flash flood warnings for the entire state (won't affect me, we're on high ground). There are wind advisories closer to the seacoast (we are 2-2.5 hours drive from the ocean). Hopefully our power stays on, but shouldn't be any damage, just annoyance if we don't have power. DH is heading down to get gas for the generator just in case.

Well yesterday was DD's birthday as well as the 5 year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy.
Wow the wind is getting super strong now... Yikes. Super strong gust just now.
Anyway yes we were in the hospital after DD was born during the hurricane. It was awesome, no one had power but us lol!
DH doesn't have to work tomorrow, which is cool because it's his birthday! And we should be able to start cutting the pig. But also, if we lose sleep because we have no power, he'll be able to take a nap haha
