Thanks, it wasn't too bad but between the test and not sleeping well last night, I'm really tired now! Happy to be hanging out on the couch now! Happy I'm not afraid of needles, that's for sure!

Someone's pulled over hunting on either our property or my parents'. Oops... Did our target practice bother you? What, the deer don't like that? Sorry.... Not.

Our land is not posted, although it does have "safety zone" signs near the house and livestock. So legally, they are allowed to hunt here. But respectful hunters around here talk to the homeowner before hunting their property. And this dude hasn't done that. So, we scare away the deer. Still not sorry.

Can you "post" it? Here all you have to do is either put up a "posted - no trespassing" sign or paint purple paint on your fence posts or trees.

I can, my parents next door cannot. We don't have ag exemptions for taxes, we have "current use", which means the land can be used for farming, logging and as conservation land. Big tax break, but it means you can't build, develop or post it.

Back to farm news- just bought our last bag of meat bird feed. Aiming for butchering next Friday, it's the warmest day in the forecast, almost 50. Ordered shrink wrap bags tonight so they'll be here in time.

Have a guy coming tomorrow to get rid of a bunch of scrap- projects I finally convinced DH aren't going to happen, a truck that we meant to get running as a plow truck but needs too much work, etc. It'll be nice to get a little extra cash and clean up some junk.

Going to be COLD tomorrow. High of 25 with 35 mph winds. Low of 11 tomorrow night. I'll be home and inside aside from doing chores, brr! DH needs to putter on my Jeep a little, it's having what we think is a wiring issue that is throwing a code and making it run weird. Hate new vehicles with their emissions issues. Ugh.

Wait a minute, you mean that anyone can hunt on your land? With or without your permission? Aw HELL NO!! In Texas private property is a sacred thing and you just don't go trespassing on someone's property.
