Ugh! I failed again! Must go get my sugar testing kit Monday and learn how to be a diabetic. Sigh.
Sorry about that. Be a good girl and take care of yourself.

Hunting and firearms are a way of life here too. I have hunted, can take a deer from the field to the plate. LOL I enjoyed it, but haven't hunted in a long time.

I just put a new phone card on- so it's currently as good as it gets! Lol

So DH had to put down a meatie today. It broke it's leg or something. Couldn't get around and was getting rolled by the others. It was too pathetic and in pain to put in isolation but it was also small so no huge (monetary) loss.

Also put up some windbreaks in the pig hut and gave her an entire bale of hay in preparation for tonight's bitter cold.

Poor meatie... I'll betcha your pig is self-buried in that bale of hay by morning, lol. My little ones would do that on cold nights. I'd walk out and not see a piglet anywhere...but there was a moving pile of hay that the little critters would just explode out of. It never failed to make me laugh!

Oh piglets are so cute! I'm sure she'll be buried, I've been boiling her cracked corn when it's cold so she's now a spoiled cold weather pig. Everyone is getting warm water today too, it's supposed to hit 33 but wind chill of -8 still. Brrrr

Lol! Well I skipped the cooking this morning and she was still a happy piggie so not too spoiled yet!
