we finally got her weight down and now she's thick but not huge
Now I think I know what my problem is - I'm part Nigi  Sigh, I guess it's time to hit the pasture, uh, I mean veggies again.

Goaties are hilarious. I checked out your blog again. I love it.
People with little or no mortgage, farm animals, a producing garden and a bunch of poultry will be the next "Nouveau Riche".
I want to invest in Gold (buff Orpingtons) and Silver (Laced Wyandottes and Sussexes) myself.

Shine looks just like my old girl Ashley. She was a Russian Blue and such a personality. It's nice seeing kitties like her.

We're swimming in a mess of mallards here...and Miss Priss - my only setting 'scovy - should be hatching hers soon.

Today, our third Mallard Mama showed up with 12 Babies!!! (recruits) and now the two new mama's keep getting their hatchlings confused - one will be walking around with 12 while the other has 4, and then the one with 4 will have 6 and the other 10. It's hilarious.

Plus our first mallard to hatch has 2 babies - so we've got a whopping 18 mallard ducklings with mama's - and that's not counting the ones I hatched in my incubator that I'm taking to Mt. Hope tomorrow.

So how many did Miss Duck hatch?

Dash Jr. is showing signs of wanting to set - she has built up a nest in a box with 6 eggs so far and spent a lot of time setting on them this morning.
