WOW!!!! That's is all that I can say.

Wel,l I am sorry about your guinea hen, I think it's time for a fox hunt. Glad the geese are going to try for babies. I hope Dash is feeling better, I usually do after a nice shower. ;)

A 10 lb Frankenstein chicken? So how old were those birds? How many did you put in the freezer?

Sorry about your fruit trees. Do the goats just eat them?

Well I hope things are easier today.

Wow, girl.

You are a busy bee!

I hope you get that fox, that really sucks.

The critters seem to be keeping you hoping, what about the neighbors? Is all well on that front?

Hugs!

(Hey Gina...you are up early!)

Dace, (sorry ofg I could not find Dace's journal)

Alarm goes off at 3:45 here in North County. Dh heads for the shower and I head for the kitchen. I make his coffee, breakfast burrito to go and his lunch. He leaves the house by 4:15. I used to try to go back to sleep.. Didn't work very well I just felt more tired in the morning. Now you can usually find me here. I can catch up, chat with the east coasters and have it all done before the kids even stir.

I have been back over at the Easy Garden as well. It's good to see what everyone is up to and see some familiar folks.

How are you doing? Moving sucks. I will come help you if you want. :hugs

a guinea is nothing but prey (ya know dinner) LOL

ya gotta keep them locked up or kill every predator within a 25 mile range LOL

heck cars are worse of them all a flock of guineas crossed the road on a sharp curve from trailer park into a field yup started out as about 12 and everyday one more dead guniea on the road the flock lasted maybe 2 weeks hahaha just happens to gunieas

I know I don't want to ever come back as a guniea ya don't last long lol

what good is a guniea? what do you do with them? I am not a bird lover so I know about them but other than bug control I think can ya eat them? well, everything else eats them so I guess we all can lol

hey everybody!

pretty much i'm eating ice cream for breakfast at this point.. but we are moving along. i keep thinking that this is the pace FOR NOW and i know it will ease up a bit... but i'm hustling right along trying to keep up.

unfortunately it isnt going to let up soon. we are going to dress 4 or 5 more turkeys in the next couple of days. and i need to get about 2 tons of compost/soil from that dairy guy. and while i'm there i might just get a calf.

Lori - i totally burst out laughing.. yep.. they tasted MUCH better than they smelled. actually it was pretty darn good.

we were surprised at the meats - remember that two weeks after we got the meat chicks we also got "normal" chicks that we put under Runner.... and those chicks are the size of a pigeon! so these were pretty darn big.

i laughed b/c my hubby kept saying "i dont think they are big enough' and this one filled my roasting pan!!!

i'm headed back for more planting... hey... what i need is ice cream COFFEE then i'd be in business! i got up so early this morning the dogs were all "hey what are you doing up!!?"....

that fox tho.. she is a worry. no sign of the missing guineas. we are half expecting a ransom from the bad neighbors.. but wont they be surprised when they get so sick of them that they will pay US to take them back! in the mean time the dogs are all hoppy around about something. they are peeing all over everything. we'll get that foxy brown tho...

onward and upward folks!

Who needs coffee when we have OFG's post to read in the mornings?

Oh my gosh, what a busy life you lead. Do you need help? I'm sitting here in the rain for the last two days - bored bored bored. Lets see....I know where Cleveland is and where Dayton is....that's my entire experience for Ohio. Know nuthin' bout dressing birds, etc. Willing to learn and will work cheap...

Oh well, you big corporate types will have all the projects wrapped up before Dilbert even thinks of complaining.

Happy overcast, rainy Thursday from the Sierra's.
