Happy Bday to the Big Man!

I like the slow Sunday idea. My crew is so busy, I can see a coup brewing if I tried to institute that though. We do try to get everyone home early on Sundays and try to have dinner and watch a movie or something together.

Hey Big Man! Happy Birthday!

I had strawberry-rhubarb pie this weekend that I found at the farmer's market. I still need to get a rhubarb patch of my own going.

Glad you dodged the storms. We had quite the downpours. I still haven't planted any garden. The lower section was holding water on Saturday, but I believe it has drained off now.

I only have the containers on the deck planted, my garlic which I planted in the fall and a few onions I threw in a week or so ago. I need it fenced to keep the dogs, chickens and ducks out.

we actually had a work day because tomorrow it will start raining again.. but we got a lot done.

and

i'm making lemon bars for his birthday treat!

he likes all things lemon... except my lemon cake.. so i'm giving these a go. the batter is amazing and anything with a cup of butter and four eggs has got to be good!

and we are having creepy meat for dinner. one of the smarter things we did was cut up some meat (mostly thighs/leg meat) into bite size, ready to cook pieces for stir fry...so easy peasy dinner tonite.
