Where you been this time you galavantin' female? I was beginning to wonder if you'd been whooped by OD, or carried off by the "bad" neighbors. Guess I missed the post that said you'd be out of commission for awhile. And to believe I kept picturing you out in the garden slavin' away with sweat (oh wait, perspiration) runnin' down your face.

Yay, you're back! Hey, I am forced to live full-time in civilization....many people can't understand why I leave our property as little as possible. Work and religious services, that is about it. DH does almost all errands now, and is glad to leave me happily playing in the poo.

Mel Gibson: Yet another "star" behaving atrociously. Go figure. Surprise, surprise.

Hey, it's a good thing those airport security guys are so young and any pig-chasin' farmgirl can out run them, huh?

Hubby and I are news junkies, so skip the cable. We'll watch it so you don't have to :D

Mel Gibson...I am guessing undiagnosed bipolar trying to self-treat with alcohol. Not a good plan :p

wow am i glad to be home! that civilization just keeps getting worse.
see, i love civilization. i just like it to stay where it is so i can visit it when the mood strikes. when i go, i inevitably eat way too much insanely good food which makes me a bit sad to come home to the dreary restaurant options here. i mean, no matter how hard i try, i just can not cook foods from all over the world in one week and that is my ideal eating scenario.

wow, BB! look at all those eats!

normally i eat my way thru civilization also but this time i didnt have the chance. and they all seemed a little more scoldy and self righteous than before. a man even yelled at me! AGAIN!

i mocked them at every turn for their passive aggressive, fast-talkin', look-at-me-i'm-so-fabulous-ness. and their tiny cars. i coulda put 3 or 4 of them mini cars very neatly in the back of my big old work truck.

i was thrust directly into the thick of it the second i stepped off the plane. my hosts left a car for me at that airport, so i had to drive (slightly dazed and discombobulated) to their house.

not 3 minutes into it i saw a fake 'hillbilly-deluxe' hot-rodded out "truck" and thought "that guy cant haul a ton and a half of gravel in THAT" and just as i was thinkin' how stupid he was... my doors were blown off by a mazerati. i think he was goin 185. oh yes... i remembered... this is the place where all the money is... then i laughed because my neighbor has a $250,000 combine that he only drives 2 weeks out of the year. yeah... mr mazerati, i'm all impressed and stuff. you just keep on drivin' that car...

and none of them were ready for my midwest manners at all - the checker at the grocery nearly fell over when my reply to "paper or plastic" was "Whatever is easier for you, dear."

and the worst part - civilization makes me sick. literally - came home all messed up so i've been holding down the couch, cursing their germs and all. its a cesspool for sure.

i was able to rally and do the milking this morning - my poor hubby has been doing all the work while i lay here like a slug.

but for sure i brought home several pounds of the most excellent coffee beans. and a mug from one of my favorite spots. and i got to go to my 'home' church. so there were some good points. but i'm still glad to be home.
