wow why didnt i think of that!?!? do you know how many chickens you could raise on a golf course!?!?
those would be some seriously toxified chickens! they put so much disgusting crap on those things. my cousin owns one and i'm constantly arguing with him to try a more natural approach... needless to say, i'm ignored.

thanks for the tips lala!

Good Grief, biblio - you know you can't mess with a man's golf course. That's like one of the deadly sins or something. But you're right - wouldn't let one of my chickens near a golf course.

Good Saturday everyone - we had some rain here last night and some more today at the farmers' market - then the sauna came along. Yukl!

I had to settle for a cup of camomile tea last night. It sucks having no money :(
That pie was delicious, better than the one the night before, guess that was a practise pie. SO makes a terrific crust, almost like shortnin' bread. And those fresh berries and peaches with the honey and topioca (I use a powedered form that comes in little packets imported from Germany) :drool

You all are welcome to come on over and have some of our wonderful pie, as long as you help pick more berries and peel peaches :D We can make it a party. The weather is nice here too, sort of. It is a cool 70 something and overcast, no humidity either.

I better go back out and pick more beans and stuff. Chickens are hollering at me too...they want more food,

speaking of chickens, I would let mine onto a golfcourse either :sick

They are kinda pretty to look at though

DH wants to move to Eureka CA. Fog, rain, cold wind, fog, more fog, did I mention fog? No way in 'ell.

DH want to move to Weed CA. Weed? Wasn't that something we had fun with in the 70's? Do they grow weed there? Will it be legalized? nah.....

hey MR! yep you missed all the hijinks.. oh well i'm sure something else will happen.

right about now i'd take cold and foggy sheesh!

but wow what a rain we are having! we had to run outside and scoot everyone in. i was completely soaked thru and my boots were full of water!

tapioca from germany???

and for heavens sakes, Literal Lucy's, you're missing the point of the chicken golf course! think BIG! think EGG-straordinary!! you know.. hens driving around on golf carts, the roosters hanging out at the club house, the hens laying eggs in the lockers... how much fun would...

WAIT

i've got it. this will be Tiger Woods' come back. i will engineer it so he can ride the crest of the "chickens in every yard" wave and start a new line of hen houses/yards crafted like golf courses! mini club houses! sand traps for dust baths... oh my golly. i need to go and twitter Tiger so i can pitch this idea to him.. i'm gonna make a million! even more than my $40 a dozen eggs! whoot!

* runs off to find building plans and a drawing board *

And we only got sprinkles today :hu Got alot of yard work done though. I tackled the crabgrass that has infested the remains of the garden and pulled the weeds that goats shouldn't have.

Nerd status confirmed.

Not sure about the name...how about Tiger's Pent Up Poultry?....just so the roosters don't feel left out.

Any who....what is B&G?

And I need to learn how to cook pork...everytime I cook a pork roast or tenderloin it is on the dry side. Now my family says they don't like pork and I know it is my fault. I should know how to cook stinkin' pork for goodness sakes
