Zanfel is worth the price. It works.

However, if it is still spreading through your bloodstream, you may need to get to the doctor and take steroids. I had to do this once. I tried every natural remedy known to man, and it continued to spread for TEN DAYS!!! Only steroids, as a last resort, halted it. Then my knees ached. But the poison ivy stopped.

For natural stuff....have you tried some mashed-up jewelweed?

Again, anything topical will not stop a systemic case.

You could also try boosting your immune system with lots of super-antioxidants....OPC's, ORAC's, bioflavonoids, etc. Elderberries are a free choice. So if you have some elderberry wine, yes, it is actually medicinal. I wouldn't choose elderberry jam or syrup, as the sugar needed to make the elderberries tolerable is quite inflammatory. But wine....well..... ;)

Read that too fast and thought you'd misspelled Zinfandel!

I swear I am allergic to the stuff. If I get within ten feet, down wind, I get it. Then my joints and limbs ache, I get headaches, and get really hungry and really sleepy.

I was very fortunate to find a jewelweed pant when I was up north, I dug one up, and it is the only one I have right now. Otherwise I would have made a tea to throw in the bath. BibB expected a goat in exchange for some of her jewelweed, so THAT was a no-go. (yeah, you heard me!)

After the two week long case of lake itch I had, this is nothing. I had it so bad that I could not sleep at all and had to keep my legs submerged in a 5 gallon bucket of ice and Epsom-salty water just so I could sleep at night.

Anyway, I will live. I have a feeling that it will be better by tomorrow tonight.

Wish you lived near me. I've got jewelweed taking over my backyard and know of several other places where it's growing like mad.

It is 'cuz you are so good at canning that you can only drink supper tonight. Don't we count on eating for supper whatever doesn't seal? Then when it all seals, well, get out the corkscrew!

still haven't made it to the brandy, maybe a ceremonial last of the summer G&T instead.

OFG, lemon grass! now that is something I haven't grown. was at the farmers market with some friends, and someone was selling lemon grass, saying you should "infuse" your chicken with it. we laughed ourselves silly over the "infusion" but....darned if the chicken didn't turn out incredibly yummy!

is lemon grass perennial where you are?

(cutting the lime now)
