we still havent told her that kai's full name is "My Fighting Uruk-hai Poodlekiller." we think this is hilarious b/c we hate the MIL's bad poodles. she lets them bite us and says she doesnt know what to do about it. i have a couple of ideas. the last time one of them bit my pants i told her if he got me again, i'd kick him till he was dead. didnt' make for a very comfortable visit but now they try to contain the bad poodles when we show up.

I have a friend who has a VERY rowdy, VERY big bull dog. The guy jumps and leaves scratches and bruises on my legs, not to mention the jumping never ends!

Now I like dogs, and I like this dog but his behavior I hate. So on my last visit I decided to take matters into my own hands since my dear friend did not seem to be able to control him.

As soon as I walked in the door he jumped up. Simultaneously, my knee came up and hit him square in his big ol' bulldog chest. Nice, I thought to myself. But no, he was not nearly ready to be done trying to maul me with love....the next jump I put a little more umph into it and it literally knocked him over on his back. My friend just looked on and said "oh my". Really? Oh my.

The good news is that we enjoyed out visit and I got to love on the dog without bringing home bruises.

Anywho...you story make me laugh! You are the best!

Well my sister has a llasa apso poodle, so he is Lotsa Poo.

We fostered a rottweiler poodle cross, was he ever cute, and we called him a rotten doodle. A peekinese doxie is a peekaweiner, and a chihuahua doxie is a chu-weiner.

Don't get a dog rescuer started telling you designer dog breeds, there are tons. We invent a new one every mix!

D - i know how to handle them bad dogs now. heh heh heh... i saw a dog trainer once take an aggressive step forward while giving a bad dog The Finger Of Discipline and snarl "NO!" and that bad dog ran like heck. i did that one of the last times i saw them bad poodles and now they kinda run FROM me. who knew i'd be able t make poodles pee their pants?

say... i wonder if i could use that with the MIL....
