I don't think you want me trying to squeeze through a window. I'd get tickled and when that happens I can't do anything but laugh - and pee! You'd better try that window yourself. I'll stay out here and keep OD away. Hurry - it's cold.

I'll bet they went to church this morning and back to MIL's house for lunch.....Not!

BTW - where are those dogs? They're not supposed to let anyone come up on this porch.

* all walk in and find not one unsupervised pie, but a whole table of them, a pot of coffee and all the trimmings and this note: *

dear friends,

come on in and have some pie. i've gone to walk in the woods for a couple of days to seek comfort with The Father.

you see, my dear old bag of bones cat, my beloved old lady finally shuffled off her mortal coil. she pass quietly in her sleep after 20 years, six months, and one day.

there is no tragedy in her passing, save my broken heart.

she lived a good long life, was well loved and well cared for. most of us could only hope to have it so good.

but for now i'm just feeling a little lost without her.

i'll be back from my walkabout in a day or so. until then make yourselves at home and have some pie.

be sure to close all the gates when you leave.

yours,
ofg
