There are no right words for the sadness you all are going through now with the loss of your 2 oldest friends. You are in my thoughts and prayers. And yes, I do believe dogs and cats go to heaven.
onward and upward, right? (*sighs heavily, hangs head*)
today i'm working on canning stock and such. and we have just 4 meats left to process. and at some point i gotta work on my lard.
and we have to get more hay. Fattie and Fat Deb are plowing thru it like its free. our hay guy got us some spectacular lush hay this last time but i think we need to get some "not as lush" to keep their rumens going with all this cold. they are not adhering to 'best quality = eating less' at all.
and i need to keep them busy - heaven knows they wont step foot outside in the snow - so i need something for them to do. i think Fattie (aka Nibbles) is an emotional eater. she needs to watch her portions. or maybe she really does have 47 babies in there.
i totally missed the whole eclipse last nite. we had clear skies and just about when it was going to start.. the clouds rolled in.
