Girl, I feel you! My kids are making me insane....my son actually told me that he was "allergic to snow" the other day when I tried to make him go outside and play.

I'm going nuts too....we went to church twice yesterday and to my hubby's uncle's house but i'm still battling cabin fever. I can't wait for warmer days so I can shove them out the door for a while and just drink a cup of coffee in peace.

Speaking of coffee....I got a french press! What kind of coffee do you drink?
We have a strong likely for this brand http://www.ravensbrew.com/NewFiles/coffees.html
With this one http://www.ravensbrew.com/goat.html being our favorite coffee ever :hide
Make sure to read the poem that goes with this one :gig :hide
And we have a french press as well.

great googley moogley! dude.. i'm so getting a tshirt
;-)

when i'm not french pressing organic, shade grown, small batch, boutique coffee beans i smuggled in from the left coast.... i generally just like starbucks verona. easy, predictable, just fine. the trick with the french press is to NOT grind the beans too fine or they end up in your cup. if you buy ground coffee it should be ok too

:)

Make sure you get the coffee as well. We have tasted many gourmet coffees, and this one beats them all.
No need at all to add cream or sugar, even for those that never drink it black.

WHAT is with this stupid snow!

Java is it snowin' on you? dang i thought we were out from under this and i just saw in the crawl at the bottom of the news that....

THIS JANUARY MAY THE BE COLDEST SINCE 1985 !??!?!??!?

dang.

so

i canned up the ground turkey and it totally worked! whoot! so i'm very excited and am going to go on a ground meat canning rampage... i still dont know what i'm gonna do about all that ham. yikes!

and we went to the feedstore and i loaded up on whole grains for the clucks.

and i finally got some sweetlix. ksalvagno, i think you said you used this loose mineral? how much am i supposed to put out. normally we just use one of those licky blocks, then we tried the tub - but they HATED that.

they went wild for it - should i just let them have as much as they want????

i know that Deb is probably low on copper so she needs it but is there toooo much?

thats the word here. happy thursday everyone!!!

:)
btw, BubblingB - thanks SO much for the link about the Edwardian farm! i put it on my blog and everyone is gaga for it! yay!

Hey :frow We're getting flurries. Nothing bad. I don't care how cold January is as long as it warms up in time for the babies.

I got the Sweetlix too and I just dump a coffee cup full every few days or as needed into the mineral feeder. I don't limit it. They are starting to eat more now that they are growing babies. I don't think they can get too much copper from this alone as far as I've read.

I just leave the Sweetlix out for the goats all the time. I try to give them just enough for the day or a couple of days and then refill. Goats don't like to eat old mineral. It is ok if they are eating a lot. Eventually they will stop. It does seem like they eat what they need.

It has been snowing here all day. It was just snowing lightly most of the day but now it has picked up and I can't even see across the street. I know it is only January but it sure was nice not to have the snow.
