OD seriously is every bit as nasty as OFG says he is. We had to get rid of him because we have two little boys who couldn't be outside - at all - without him coming over fences to get at them and tear them up. He used to literally go out into the road and wait for pickup trucks to come along - stop them and attack them. We'd have to go out with a stick and rescue the driver. I'm not kidding.
A funny aside about him though. After the truck attacks escalated we had to pen him up. The other geese were fine so they got to stay out. OFG came to pick up OD and Penny and took them home whereupon Penny made a nest right away and hatched 4 beautiful goslings. OOOOPS! All the goslings were crested - oddly - so was our Roman Crested gander who obviously took advantage of the fact the OD was incarcerated to make himself the baby-daddy of Penny's peeps. No one has dared let on to OD that there might be anything amiss.....

and its true - Cindy and Junior are tufted..... we've decided not to publicly shame Penny.... even tho she is a tramp (yikes!).
;-)

OD, to his honor, really is a great daddy. he even sat on the nest to see if any of the remaining eggs would hatch when Penny had to get up to chase the youngin's

the fun news is that Penny looks like she is starting to pull her feathers out of her breast - which means she is probably going to start laying! to The Big Man's horror I declared that both Penny and Cindy can set nests.... we'll keep the number of eggs down tho.

i cant help it... i love them.
