wow, long thread that I don't have time to read right now.

All i have to say is they can glamorize it all they want, but when you live it, you still have to get someone whose olfactory senses are not immune to chicken poo to sniff you before you go to the mall.

I totally get the funny looks even when I walk into my local timmies (largely dominated by farmers and ex farmers) wearing muck boots with a combination of goat, horse, chicken, and duck poop all over them. SIGH.

but Quail - so much material there! he called the pigs on the pigs!!?!? oh golly.... we keep laughing about it. at least we've never had to call law enforcement out on that gander of mine!

as for the mall, MTN, you should see me at victoria secret. i'm all farm, all the time. they're still talking about it....

and I might be trying to roast one whole for our SS get together.....if I can convince my Uncle to bring his roaster and cook that piggie for us....

eta: I'm going to be reinforcing the future pig stop before I bring 'em home....around here, I won't get to call the pigs to get my pigs...these thievin' rednecks wouldn't hesitate to shoot and butcher said piggie on the spot if i didn't get to them first!
