Bad storm cells all around us. First rain from the south had pea-sized hail. Next one from north had marble-sized hail. I now have holes in my pak choi. Thunder, lightning - the whole shooting match as my mom would say.

Saw some lightning come straight down right over toward BBirds place. My neighbor just got his garden tilled and now it looks like a muddy swimming pool.

Me too! Short sleeves and flip flops. I also ate the first glorious white radish out of the garden :woot
Ok so glorious is a pretty strong word for a radish but it properly expresses my excitement!

Good day on the west coast!

Stay safe! We have extensive damage several different areas around us here. I can't find my cousins right now. Tornado hit there area an hour ago. I hate this part of Spring in Tennessee!!!

This was the worst storm I've been in. 4 big cells came near us. Power off for about 10 hours - came back on at 6 AM. Chickens are OK.

I need help making cheese. I have plenty of milk and the freezer's getting full. But the last time I made cheese it was so bad I'm scared to try it again.

PS - thanks for not making that storm dissapate over you. It's hitting us today.

What kind of cheese do you want to make Glen? Me and SD are perfecting the basic farmer's cheese - it's so fast and only needs milk, lemon juice or vinegar, and salt and it's delicious. And OFG did a cheese blog a last week for chevre if you have the rennet and the mesophilic culture. I'll get some links for you soon.
