I need help making cheese. I have plenty of milk and the freezer's getting full. But the last time I made cheese it was so bad I'm scared to try it again.

PS - thanks for not making that storm dissapate over you. It's hitting us today. :rolleyes:
Hey, come join my cheese class in May or June! I advertised on craigslist, and will list it again when I have a date. I need Mya's milk for this one.

hey Gleno!

here's a step by step for regular fresh cheese:
http://adventuresinthegoodland.blogspot.com/2011/04/making-fresh-goat-cheese-chevre.html

and if you click on the "cheese notes" you'll get more posts about cheese

really its so easy peasy! after i got over my fear of all the big words (mesophillic, rennet) its now just a recipe.

and go to Free's class! golly you two together would be a scream!

thanks AL - tons of wind but no damage here. lots going on so i'm just stopping in while i eat pork chops...

which reminds me... one of the reasons i'm so busy is because...

WE ARE GETTING OUR PIGS NEXT WEEK!!!

ha! smell ya later suckers - i got TWO tamworth pigs with my name on 'em! hello bacon!

let the pig hatin' begin!!!!

I'm jealous!!! :hit I want some pigs!!! I can't quite convince hubby yet. :hit

Out of curiousity, OFG, can I ask how much you paid for the 2 tamworths? Pigs here seem to go for way high. :/ BUT, I think next week I'm going to the livestock auction, and it'll be their pig week (the first week of the month). Ya think I can convince DH they just jumped in my arms and followed me home? :D I want some little piglets....

you know, katie....

He can't really say you have to take them back if you just show up with them. I mean, if they came from the auction it's not like you can just return them to the store....

Tell him you're only thinking of his needs and that he needs to beef up on pork. Or make something up and say that home grown pork helps stimulate "other stuff"....think banjo monkey
