yesterday was full of hits and misses:

misses:
1. rained all screamin' day
2. water in the basement again
3. never did get the kitchen clean
4. started a cheese at nite and had to stay up way too late to get it in the press
5. house is a disaster

hits:
1. puppy is doing great! she's a little bouncy and frustrated tho that she cant run around.
2. i made another cheese!
3. my favorite thing is still that fake PF Chang's orange chicken and we made it it again yesterday whoot!
4. i think i'm getting another freezer!

but the big thing was that i posted some stuff on CL and got a buyer! the best news is that its going to cover the cost of the pigs we are getting on saturday!

so once again we are "even steven" but its better because it ends with 2 fat little oinkers!

the other fun thing was that the Good Neighbor mom had to stay overnite in the big city for a biz function... and she brought me a present! hee hee how fun is that!?!? its a fun sunflower and rooster plate for the kitchen. i just loved that she thought of me. so i tromped over to see them last nite and we all had a great time.

the oldest girl showed me her prom dress and i nearly burst into tears with pride for her. not only was it beautiful - but it was age appropriate and she will not look like a street walker.

she really is a winner. she has recently decided to go into a military program. she'll get her college paid for, will be working on a base nearby, and will be part of a wow-thats-cool part of the air force.

it was fun to be with them. altho its now official that ALL of their kids are taller than me. sheesh! i'm always the shrimp-iest one!

so

who knows what hits and misses today will bring - but for sure i'm gonna get this stupid kitchen cleaned up. hopefully. probably. i'll work on it.

happy wednesday!
:)

Can you believe all this rain? I can't believe I'm still saying "can you believe all this rain?"

Fran is on the nest again, with a buddy setting up shop right next to her. We'll see if they make it past noon today

I think I'm getting another freezer too - since I just packed our spare one with beef and then realized DUH! I have meat chicks and at least a few roos that will be ready in June. I need to start thinking ahead a bit more :p

That's great!! My niece is very developed and I was afraid she'd either go skanky or frumpy. She picked a very good method and does sweet lolita. Knee length pleated skirts and button up shirts. Shows she has a body without neon displays lol.

I would STILL do military if I could. I wrote and asked and if you have any heart murmur they refuse you. I can't figure out a way to mask the murmur. *laughing*

I'm doubling my milk so that I can start doing cheese :) Gonna start with cottage cheese. And yogurt. And see if I can't work my way up to awesome. :D

What kind of cheese did you make?

We have 2 freezers and sometimes we could use a third! I don't think you can ever have enough freezer space. Congrats on the new freezer.

We have two freezers that are full. We also get worried when the power goes out but we do have a generator now.

actually...ahem.... this will be ...uh... our THIRD freezer! third chest freezer i should say!

no generator but we have a power inverter on our truck just in case. but for most of the season the freezers are fullest when its cold out and we've loaded them up with ice if we were afraid the power would be out. so far so good.

i know its 'counting the bacon before the pigs are butchered' but our existing freezers are still full!

i just got back from our big CL sale - i got my pig money jingling in my jeans! come on porkers! whoooot!

is it saturday yet? i'm so excited!!!

We've had our power go out and as long as we don't open the freezer it stays real cold pretty well for a long time. I had to practically duct tape it shut so the teenagers don't open it to see if it is still cold inside, that kind of thing. :he

We're about to get another freezer...we've got 1 chest freezer but it's chuck full of venison, chicken and a fox...

Then we have 2 fridges that have freezers, but they're full of other random stuff like goat milk. I just need more room!
