Ya'll are crackin' me up!

My granny had a chihuahua once that we called "Fluffy, the demon dog from He!!" He was crazy...he was on phenabarbitol, for goodness sakes. He would bite the nearest person to him when the phone rang...it was hysterical the first time my husband was in the room with him when the phone rang cause he was the only one that didn't yank his feet up on the couch when it started ringing  He got bit too.

I was never so glad to see a dog die. Their new one is waaaaaaay better.

I'm sorry you are having issues with the MIL again....maybe she needs a shock collar...that way when she gets outta line you zap her a good one! :gig

WOW what a day!

a lot has happened.

first i had to take Nicholas to the vet - he has allergies and was so scratchy that he was just miserable...the good news was that the vet said it probably had more to do with fall airborne allergies than anything else and no, i was not a bad mommy.

however.... he tipped the scales at 18 POUNDS! one of the techs saw him slung over my shoulder and said, "now thats a load of cat!"

ha!

and they totally oooohed and aaahed over him.. wasnt his coat so soft? weren't his paws so big? wasnt he so good natured?

i beamed, of course.

and we had our traditional laugh about how one of the other vets told us that Nicholas "wouldnt be very big" when we first took him in as a kitten. ha! for a while there i thought we'd have to put Nicholas on the dog scale because he's so big!

and we narrowly escaped withOUT another dozen cats. altho they really wanted us to take a sweet cali for a barncat and would even waive the fee (us = weak in the knees.... quivering.. um.....). but we were strong and didn't take her. we might go back tho. yikes!

and on the way to the vet we met a VERY nice woman who was glad that we sold her a turkey hen AND some runner ducks. her little boy was with her and he was thrilled with the runners. and they had already named the turkey hen "Reba" which is funny for a lot of reasons.

then i got home and saw that we had a package waiting for us..... my SCYTHE!!!

so we ran right down to the post office and got it. and WOW! its totally great and i didnt even cut my foot off or anything. yet. and it works really really really well. i did not believe Freemotion or Bourbon Red when they told me it would change my life. but it already has! mostly b/c my arm hurts b/c i've been out there this whole time with it. whoooot!

but i was ordered by The Warden to 'PUT THAT DOWN', was called "the grim reaper" for my enthusiasm for the blade, and ordered not to use it until tomorrow - for many reasons including but not limited to:

1. he doesnt want to find me in a pool of blood when he comes home from work
2. he doesnt want to find any of the overinterested dogs in a pool of blood when he comes home from work
3. if it dont stop now my arms will be tired and i'll never be able to milk and we dont want Debbie the goat to explode.

most of those made sense so he pried it out of my hands and now i gotta find other things to do.

thats the word here! whoooot!

:)
