They are by far the biggest chickens I have ever raised. I have read that the BJG are the biggest chicken breed there is....after I got them! The one Rooster is a monster he is so huge!! He is the third picture. He is my one that really gets a crowing too!! He has a really nice crow! DH and the kiddos like to go out there and get him going when they are doing stuff in the yard. If I knew how to upload a video...a video of him crowing would be a good one!

I love the pics of your JBGs!!!!! They are beeeyouteeful! :D

I see they were hatched in June 2008. Did they just start laying? Our JBG hen, Lou, laid her first egg on the day she turned 5 months old.

She first went broody on the day she turned 6 months old! :p

Lou is much larger than our Rhode Island Red, Buff Orpington, or Delaware hens.

Oh my goodness, those chickens are huge! They are really pretty, Pam. The pics of your DD are too cute! How are you feeling? Baby doing well, I hope. Sounds like the kids are enjoying all their Christmas stuff still. I am forever cleaning my son's room too...I don't know how it gets that way. More stuff happens when I am on the potty, I swear!

The baby and I are doing good today!! She has been kicking like crazy! I never clean my kids room and they don't want me to either. When I clean I bring in garbage bags with me and the garbages bags come out and NEVER return!!
I don't have to worry about stuff going on while I am in the potty because 6 yo and 3 yo think I can not possibly go potty unless I have an audience!! The older three boys are pretty good about staying out of stuff....for the most part! They are bad about getting into the pantry and eating all of my baking goodies....chocolate chips, caramels, mint chips, ect.

You have some nice looking chickens. Handsome rooster, too.

Your daugher is a cutie and what a sweet dress you made.

I saw your napkins the other day. We've used cloth napkins for a few years. I thought about your idea using an old dress, but I can't think of any that I have that would work.

The garbage bag works everytime. Although, I used to go in every once in awhile to clean when they weren't around.

Had my NST this morning. The baby's heartrate sounds nice and strong....between 140-160. She was kicking the monitor like crazy today. Then I went to the hospital to get the steroid shot...not looking forward to having another one tomorrow. It really stung but, thankfully only for a minute. She checked my blood pressure before she gave me the shot and it was 138/92. So, it is definetly getting higher. Tomorrow I have another u/s so hopefully I can find out how much weight the baby has gained since last week. (She was 3 pounds 7 ounces last week.)

What a blessing that her heartbeat is strong!

Ouch! I hate shots and having blood work done. And you have to go back tomorrow! :hide

Did they tell you to lay off the cheese balls because of the sodium? ;)

I had my quick u/s this morning. I pretty much just got to see the baby's heartbeat. She is going to check the weight next Wednesday. My blood pressure was 130/90. I have to do another 24 hour protien test. I got my second steriod shot today...stung again! My sugar has been up a little bit since I got the steriod shot but, my OB says that should only last about 3-5 days. I have been feeling really good today.
