:celebrate Major celebrating going on in our house tonight! My oldest got his first deer! He shot a 10 point buck with a bow! The neighbor said it was 13 points but I was not counting little nubs...I know I am a mean mom! :plbb
Tomorrow he will be spending the day cutting it up and putting the meat in the freezer. I am going on a trip to Light Up Night in Pittsburgh and then Saturday we are super busy so he is going to have to take care of it. The neighbor gutted it all out for him. The neighbors dad let him have it when he found out my oldest did not do it and that he had done it for him! My oldest is pretty squeamish!

I am super proud of him! :weee
Yee haw. :thumbsup

Do I get some mean mom award or something??

I made my oldest cut up nearly the entire deer by himself! I helped him with a little bit of it and 11 yo helped him a little bit but he did most all of it!! I did it more to teach him a lesson about hunting and that he is not going to get to go out and have all the fun hunting and then bring the deer back to me for me to do all the work. I am a mean mom, I know!

I am looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner. Thankfully my in laws are friends with my mom and brother so they made it very clear that they were invited to Thanksgiving dinner. :hit :love It just makes the holidays so much easier when we do not have to go to two different places and my mom is now working quite a bit so she will not have to put on a full dinner. Everything has been working out for my mom. She really enjoys her new job all though she is getting quite a work out!

I got a job!! :celebrate $10 an hour and I am working 36 hours this weekend starting tomorrow morning! I will be missing Thanksgiving dinner :( but we can really use the money! It is a SUPER easy job! I will be working security and I just need to make my presence known so no one comes in and steals anything! I am going to be working opposite shift as my mom. This is her regular job. So between the two of us we just need to cover the place 24/7 for the entire holiday weekend.
it is a bummer that I will be missing dinner and church on Sunday but we sure can use the money! :weee

Congrats on the job. Too bad you'll be missing TG dinner with the family, but like you said: at least you'll be getting paid!

Good job mean mom! If you kill it, you need to know how to process it! It's a good life lesson.
