QA, since your DD is older than mine you can make the pillow case dress at a top and then put leggings under it than add some flip flops and it would be such a cute outfit for summer!

OH MY!! I just weighed one of my roosters and one of my hens and they were each 17 pounds!!!! :ep They are HUGE!! I think the kids grabbed the smaller of the two roosters and that is why the hen weighed the same amount!!

I just got 9 Bourbon Red turkey eggs in the male today!! Hopefully I can have a good hatch with them!! My 33 BJG eggs are still in the 'bator. I am praying I have a good hatch out of them too!

A 17 pound roo AND the hen was 17 pounds too!!! When it gets a little warmer we will have to try and catch the other roo and see how much he weighs 'cause I think the boys grabbed the smaller roo.

Some of the turkeys will go in the freezer depending on how many hatch. I would like to kepp a few females and one male to start my own flock.

WOW girl that's some big ole chickens!! :weee :weee

I want to start turkeys too this year. It's one of a million things we have to do this spring/summer ^_^ The good thing is that they get big really fast, so we could get some in early to late summer and they would be big enough by Thanksgiving.

Good luck on the hatches! :D

They were born June 10th, 2008. So they are about 9 months old. I got them from Meyer Hatchery in Ohio.

17 pounds, good grief!!! That's one big ol chicken, girl. Sounds like you are keeping yourself busy...I want to get back to sewing so much but still haven't gotten a new machine. When things calm down then maybe I can convince myself to go spend some money on myself for a change. :)
