Wow, those are amazing links. How do you find such creative ideas? So on the pillowcase dress I am guessing the neckline is a simple casing, with the ribbon being gathered to fit the child's neck? So really any fabric cold be used in a tube shape? I have a 5 yr old who definitely would not fit a pillow case. :D

And that boys shirt into a dress. I love it. Around here in So Cal we have a ton of those men's shirts from Mexico I think. With the fancy fronts. Kinda hard to explain, but I can just see it working out. Oh, wow new project for this weekend. :weee.

Thank you, g

Yep, it is just a tube. I cut over like two inches and down three inches for the arm pits and then I put elastic in the neckline then the ribbon just inside the edges so the ribbon does not go through the entire casing of the neckline.
So far all of the pillow case dresses I have made have been made out of two coordinating fabrics. I even made one for myself when I was pg that matched 4 yo dd's outfit and then I made one for her doll. I also had two pairs of identical black maternity pants so I put a cuff on the bottom of one of the pairs of pants to match the shirt. It was really cool!! But I did make the shirt a little to big for myself and I ended up having to cut it down after I made it.

I also have a beautiful peach sheet that I got at an auction that has lace trim that I want to make a pillow case dresses out of for both DD's. The sheet was actually free because my mom got a whole box of misc blankets and sheets to throw in her puppy cages and this sheet was in it and I snatched it out!

Another great idea. I think I may have some cutwork curtain panels in my linnen closet. They would probably be really cute litlle half aprons. I will have to look for them. :)

I want to make an apron and put half of a dish towel in the band on the right side so it is easy to wipr my hands on vs having to find a towel or wiping my hand directly on the apron.

You know I did an apron as a gift last weekend. It was just one oft hose basic full coverage ones. Like my country one that was reversible. Anyways, I took a matching strip of pink cup cake fabric and applied it to a plain brown dish towel. So they matched. I bet there would be and easy way to just omit the pocket and apply the towel to the front of the apron. With majority of towel hanging for hand wiping. I am sure it would work even better on a half apron. maybe incorporate it at the waist band like you said. What a great idea. :D

I used to make dd's clothes. It was not only fun, back then (she's 35 now) it was actually cheaper to make clothes!
