Good luck with Ruby and all the puppies. :)

I have a feeling little Lucky will be/is yours. It's awfully suspicious that you just happened to find one- that just happened to be a mix you were thinking about getting. Fate has a sense of humor. You may not feel ready for this step, but at least he saved you the money of having to buy him.

thanks guys, i think your right...i was looking at bred pups but couldnt afford a pure corsi...and then this guy tumbled into my life at 65 mph...

right now hes asleep on my tummy with ruby about 2 ft from him also fast asleep...

i think ruby and jasper will be the deciding factors, either way hes here at minimum another 4 weeks for shots and some socilization time with a my 2 dogs, hes away from his mommy much too young and given his breed the potential for behavioural issues because of that are high...im hoping ruby and jasper will teach him the rules his own mommy didnt get a chance to...

and if i did dcide i wasnt the right home...id have to think long and hard about his future home...
hes got potential to be a handfull with his breed makeup

hes definatly cute and its a good job.
last night was ROUGH.

ive had plenty of pups in my life...jasper in particular springs to mind...the first week of him was hard, he was a banchee at night....

but this little Tank, he wasnt just crying, he was wailing! ive never heard cries like it...
im tough, i waited out jaspers wailing when he was a baby, but i couldnt ignore the little guy last night.
so i set up my spare crate, put his bed in there with the heat pad and set it on the bed next to me.

it helped a little,
But i think hes traumatized right now because even in his sleep, he was whimpering and crying...
Ive never seen a 5 week old puppy not only able to carry on as none stop as he did, but that cries even in his sleep like that.

got up this morning though and fed him, he did well with not so soupy soft food and i put a bowl of kibble in with him too, hes got teeth and can handle it...he seems to enjoy that more than the wet food, but hes had to guard his food i think becuuse his first instinct was to lay ontop of the bowl while eating.
No growling, and when i put my hand in there he didnt display any signs of food agression or resource guarding, but its not normal for a puppy to feel the need to position its body like that.
hes also a poop eater...now i wont be having any of that not only cause its grose but we'll never get rid of his worms if hes poop eating...so i have to be ontop of the pee pads so he simply wont have chance to...but poop eating in pups this young...

personallity wise, hes bold, not afraid of anythign so far, very curious, but quite submissive, he backs down imediatly if ruby or jasper give him a snap (which is EXACTLY how they, and he, should react...) and i can hold him on his back without him struggling...but he maintains eye contact which means hes not super submissive...nice "middle ground" for his age. i will have to watch him closley as her gets towards the 8 week mark, his personality will develop even more and he'll be entering a fear stage...but if he stays where he is personality wise right now...hes going to be a realy nice dog with lots of potential.

well enough about that.
this morning the replacment cams from Ikea came in the mail, i now have my drawers finnished. managed to put the t-shirts away and have one last box to go through in the bedroom :D

i also picked up the weather stripping stuff yesterday so hoping to get the back door done today, that would be awesome! i picked up the thickest stick back foal stuff they had specificlaly or a "wide gap" and then the actual stripping too, enough to do top and bottom, im hoping between thefoam to fill out the gap some and the plastic stripping i can get a much better seal on thedoor when its closed.

yesterday during my adventures i forgot to pit up cat food...but they like the dogs wet food so that should tide me over for a little while, since i feed a meat based food instead of by-product and corn, im not too worried, but i will be adding the kitty multivit because dog food is lacking in taurine.

today we start taking rubies temperature too, oh shell love that lol.
Today ive got gizards hearts livers and eggs to cook up to there ready for her too...
and i seriously need to vacume again because jack jack decided to feed the floor again...so theres parrot food everywhere and with the little guy needing some floor time lol...

right now 2 names come to mind...Tank and Dozer

you can see form this shot hes deifnatly got the bulldog stance and that wide chest already...hes going to be a stocky boy!
but weight wise hes not where i want him to be, other than his fat tummy hes a little under weight, you can see his hip bones and at his age thats not right...hes now getting a good wet food 3 times daily and dry kibble down all the time to knaw on at will...
Im sure once we get the tummy parisites under control he'll gain weight rapidly, hes probably about 1 lb under where id want to see a dog of his lineage at this age...

but aint he stinking cute?

im currently debating between Tank and Dozer

He looks sooo cute! I hope his personality stays good; even if you decide you can't keep him it will make him much easier to adopt out.

I like Dozer.

So do I. It can have a double meaning. Dozer as in bulldozer, and Dozer as someone who likes to take naps! :D
