I like olive oil too, but butter adds a little extra flavor too. Olive oil does, but it doesn't seem to permeate the meat as well. i like something the meat will soak up.

will definatly have to remember that :)

in todays news...
my back realy aches right now but it earned it...
my livingroom is painted!

the trim took 2 coats, the 2 doors need another one ontop (3 coats) to cover the blue grey, i also painted the fishtank stand which does need a 3rd coat also
the 3rd coat will wait until friday now which is good because itll give it plenty of time to cure.
the white tirm makes a HUGE difference in itself realy freshend the room up.

then on the walls i whent with a lovely green, a little more yellow than i was origionally planning (i was planning somehting with a little more grey base) but i LOVE it, its bright and happy and i think a grey based green would have made the room feel smaller, and givne i dont get much light in the front the yelllow base realy brightens it up more...combined with the white trim it looks realy fresh, its more of a bamboo than a sage but it looks great!

im REALY impressed wiht the paint i picked up too.
i whent with Olympia One brand paint, its a paint and primer in one but the price is good...wasnt expecting too much given the price but its covered realy nicely in one coat, and ive got just under 1/2 a gallon left! i could easily do a second coat if i needed to but right now i cant see it being needed.

im realy proud of myself for getting this done today!
one room down.
next month will be my bedroom and mabe the guest bedroom.

ive still got alot to do this evening...
have to clean the big cages, put my paint, paint supplies and tools away, take the trash out...
give dozer his second dose of safeguard and at some point in there have dinner.

i think im going to have to put the heat back on again though its gone quite chilly in here!
having the other half of my stuffed pork chop tonight, mabe with rice, hmm yes rice!

*takes deep breath*

Wow GREAT job! I've been working half the day to get this place presentable for company  It was TRASHED from all the various "projects" and relative "busy-ness" we've had lately.

I also have the rolls precooked to be browned in the morning. I have the ham in the crock pot to slow cook overnight. Brownies and carrot cake is made, just gotta ice the cake later. Bread is made for the cornbread dressing. The turkey is thawed awaiting it's early morning appointment with the oven. Thanksgiving is coming together! :woot

We'll be eating around 12 or 1, but you're more than welcome to come earlier and hang out all day. Bring my bird!! ;) I love Jack Jack :love Dozer might have a good time too...although Fat Dog might scare them both  Either way, see ya tomorrow!!!!!!! :weee
