well today is bright and chilly right now..
time to get my tushy in gear, need to finnish out the babbit hutches, palpate bluebell and acorn *fingers crossed* and hopefully make a good start on the next set of hutches too. (even if i only manage to get the main body done.)
im having a hard time finding SRex anywhere loclaly so ill be going to the origional person i found and picking up a buck and if she has one a broken black doe. then ill keep back an opal Buck if bluebell has one untill i can get my mitts on a pure Standard opal or blue buck lol.
managed to get the doors on the upper 3 cages, made hidey boxes out of some sterlite boxes and got the Babbits in...they LOVE their hidey houses (not that there realy "hidey" being clear plastic, but they love em. and there the perfect height that the babbits can climb and sit ontop of them too gving me the shelf AND the hidey house lol.
the bottom 3 holes will eventually be houses for the hollands im planning on.
then i got started on the next bank.
i managed to get the bottom floor built and dividers in, and the font of the box on one. ned to make the box for the front of the second and make the second floor then frames for the front for the open air area.
this bank is going to be 4 large hutches which will eventually be home to 2 standard rex bucks and 2 standard rex does.
i palpated the buns today and to be honest having nothing to compare to im not sure...lol. But i think i felt "grapes" so well now have to wait and see what happens and if im correct
i then came in and made home made bbq bacon pizza (1 small tortilla, marinara sauce, garlic pepper cheese bacon and a light drizle of honey bbq sauce. YUMM!
now...now im tired...
im going to go have a hot shower shortly and then i think itll end up being an early night.
but what a BEAUTIFUL day it was today, temps were a little lower when i got started than the last few days but it felt sooo much warmer simply because i had the sun on me...loved it!
tomorrow i have to get up, get everyone fed, get the house cleaned up and then head into town, need some groceries, more screws to finnish this bank and to drop in the form for the car transfer of ownership.
busy busy busy.
You should drop by tomorrow sometime. I palpated too, and felt nothing Chalking it up as beginners ignorance I have NO idea what I am s'posed to feel anyway. They're either preggo or not. I thought I felt something, but I coulda been dreaming Anywho i sold a buck today, the big gray bunny boy. He's so sweet, and SO GONE
Milking is getting easier. She is demanding to be milked now, by hopping up on the stanchion and giving me the hurry up stare through the back door while we're eating supper Her production is down a smidgen, but still decent and more than enough for us!! I have eggs running out my ears too! I love farmin'
yeah i think its more difficult in buns than it is cats and dogs, but its just because i have very little experience with buns...
i know what im "supposed" to feel...but when you put it into practice lol, it doesnt nessicarily work out as simple as it looks.
ill try and stop by tomorrow, wont have the dozy one with me as ive got to do some grocery shopping, will depend on what my gas tank looks like LOL. car is thirsty...bank account is feeling a little drained though lol.
well i cleaned the house...theres still some organizing i need to do, but at least the big cleaning is dne dishes are washed, hand washed some kitchen towels...feeling good about how the hosue looks again lol
i dont know whats gotten into dozer but hes driving me crazy today, peed on my floor twice and poped in the livginroom, hes never done that before...*ugh* and hed only been out about an hour before that and ped and pooped...
i love him, but ive never had a dog this difficult to housebreak, hes 14 weeks old, he should be able to hold it more than 20 mins...or at least tel me he needs to go out by now...i mean its not like this is a new concept for him *gah*
anywho...taking 5 then getting dressed and heading to wally world, need the grommets to make the rain covers some more cup hooks to hang the rain covers. need a sponge on a stick so i can scrub my fishtank glass...and need milk.
so yeah...fun times!
OMG had a grat shoppign day...
heard an add on the radio for goodwill and i needed jeans so i stopped in...
turns out weds and sundays ticket of the week is 99cents! walked away with $31 worth of clothing for under $5! SQUEE.
unfortunatly they didnt have any jeans in my size on sale that looked good on...most of the on sale jeans were "grammy jeans"
but i did pick up a skirt, dress, sweater and 2 shirts.
going to make it a plan to hit up goodwill twice a month on wednesdays, im going to set aside $20 a month for new clothes right now, i need new clothes, (particularly pants) and you cant beat $1 an item! once my closetis full of some cute outfits ill set aside $10 a month for the "hey thats cute" fund!
i then hit kroger, the milk wasnt on sale but i did pick up 4 loaves of the bakery italian bread for 49 cents a loaf! and a loaf of garlic bread for 99 cents.
didnt do quite as well in wallyworld, but did managed to get what i needed including chicken to make "wet" food for the dogs (i refuse to pay $1 a can for the good stuff when i can make just as much for about 1/2 the price) and came home with a full gas tank too!
so yeah.
got home, made another home made pizza (used chicken on this one )
boiling the chicken for the dogs food...
been a long day.
but im SOOOO excited about my goodwill finds
oh and the worst and most awesome part of today, having to put back 3 pairs of size 12 jeans because they were TOO BIG! ive never had that issue before! WOOOT i can fit in an 8 but they made the excess skin look seriously yicky so a size 10 would work just perfectly!
