do you know where delivers them?!
Tractor supply states "only available in store"
im assuming a feed store that carries them would be the best bet?!

ive heard of people geting them home in a pickup by putting 1 end in the bed of the truck closing the tail gate and "arching" them up to fit into the truck bed..but i cant imagine doing that with more than 1 or 2 of them can you imagine the "spring" when you try to get the damend things out?! lol

definatly think they would be the easiest way to go about this though

I've hauled plenty of cattle panels in a pick up all by myself. You need some baling twine to do it though.

To haul the cattle panels, you put one end in up next to the cab of the truck. Then, you arch them up, and close the tailgate. Then, you tie a piece of baling twine to the panel and then to the truck on either side. My truck has a place near the tailgate you can tie stuff to, and I'm assuming all trucks are the same. You want your baling twine (or any other heavier twine) to be several feet long.

To unload. Once you get home, open up the tailgate. Then, untie one side and retie it a bit longer. Go on the other side, and untie that side, but hold it tight! Then, little by little, let out the twine. You may need to retie it a little long and loose to get it going onto the tail gate, and move it by hand. Once it's gotten as far as you can get it, repeat the steps until you can get the panels off the truck.

I've never hauled more than 2 panels at a time, don't know how it would work for large numbers.

well i had a dream last night about the buns, my kitchen floor and goats.
and it made me realize that ive got alot more to do to realy get moving in the direction i want to be focusing soley on bunnies right now.
so i will not be getting the hollands this weekend. my mini rex wont be ready to breed untill june time so ill start looking for for hollands around that time. i dont need to rush headlong into this especially when i do NEED other stuff.
i am still trying to chase up at least 1 standard rex buck however. so please keep those fingers crosse that i hear something back from this breeder soon...these guys are dang hard to get a hold of *gah*
so yeah.

instead im going to set that money into the kitchen fund to get the floor replaced, im sure the house has a pet and musty smell to it and i know its because of that kitchen carpet. ive tried regular cleaner ive scrubed it ive oused it in natures miracle and theres still an odor, not to mention im sure its picking up the occasional grease splashes ect around the stove and its all discoulored and damp around the door from condensation...so it needs to go and be replaced with something properly washable...as such should be in a kitchen.
and once this bank of hutches is done i need to focus on prepping for the goaties.

rabbits are nice, but ive got so much other stuff i need to get done too i think my brain is overwhelmed with the thought of hitting spring and only having rabbits...i need veggie gardens, goats, and to do stuff in the house too.
ahh dreams, you always let me know what the back voice in the brain is thinking hile everyone else in there is screaming YAY!

on todays list.
take roof off babbit hutch, level out and try to remidy puddling situation, lay down a sheet of contractor bags and re-roof.
finnish the next bank of hutches (front on 1 lower level compartment and upper level and get a roof on that)

then tommorrow i should be able to finnish the wire for the big bank and mabe even start the painting on it.

I haven't had a single dream that I've remembered, since I picked your brain about that one a while back Pink. Hmmm...

Well, I have the proper trailers - a nice long car hauler and a slightly shorter flatbed. Haven't seen MY 1-ton dually since DH decided it was the perfect work truck and I just don't think the little Malibu will do it  (can't even fit a bale of hay in the thing w/o bungeeing the trunk!). Besides, my guess would be, paying for delivery would be WAY cheaper than what it would cost me to drive down there and help you out! :p I've had Lowe's deliver before, even though I had the equipment. They charged me $40 (I lived 10 miles away), they dropped the stuff right where I needed it, and saved me a ton of work. It was worth it to me. :hu

yeah i definatly dont mind paying for that kind of stuff, will have to check lowes :) *fingers crossed* my girls are due to be born in about a month *squee*

i heard back form the standard rex breeder this morning, heading down there Sunday to go pick up a broken black doe and either a black or Otter Buck. shes got a few so we'll see what she has and who jumps out at me :D
there also slightly older 6-8 months so ready to breed too and the price is right.

the 4 hole bank is structurally complete now...need to hang the doors on the hidey boxes, make the framed for the opening/front and put the roof on this afternoon...oh and use whatever paint i have left to get at least a partial first coat on.
tomorrow ill head on back down to lowes for thier cheapest gallon of white and thier cheapest gallon of whatever color pink i already have (gonna smear some on a peice of paper so it can be color matched.

painting can then be done tomorrow, and the trip to pick up the standards on sunday. right now the plan is if the paint s dry they can go right in the newest bank, if not i can temporarily house them on the lower level of the babbit bank untill paint if fully cured :)
this also means tomorrow another trip to walmart for more waterbottles litterboxes and bowls (yup im litterbox training my breeder buns suprisingly they seem to be taking pretty easily to the box, especially bluebell and acorn who i expected to give me the most issues. lol.

the broken doe is going to be called Blackberry, not sure on the males name yet.

well i managed to get the first coat of paintbrush work done, decided not to hang the doors yet itll be easier to paint wihtout the doors to wrestle with.

watched thistle play wear the tp tube like a hat he managed to gt both his ears into it on his head then wasnt quite sure how to react form that point lol.
all the girls spent the day sprawled out sunbathing watching me work :)
i like watching them :)

been doing some general thinking on the kitchen...
and ive decided eventually i want to redo the kitchen, make it more functional
and i realized i never use the oven...i have a toaster oven and i use that ALOT (and its big enough to hold a whole roaster chicken (actually has a rotisery function) normal sized pizza ect...) but ive never used the oven on my stove...i use the stove top alot though...i cant see myself ever cooking a 25lb turkey more more than 2 pies at a time so im thinking it might be worth doing away with the oven itself and putting in just a gas cooktop, i dont see me selling the house in the next 10 years or so...(which im told is about how often folks tend to replace apliances/redo kitchens ect) and it would give me another 6" of counter space and another full 36" of cabinate space
i mean YAY more cabinate space right?!

i wouldnt even need to rip out the existing cabinates to do it since i can get a cabinate unit to fit right in the spot where the stove is right now lol.
id just need 1 cabinate and a new countertop...:)
were not talking baout doing this any time soon obviously...but it just sat on my mind tonight...
do you think id regret not having a full sized oven? i mean beyond cooking larger items like a turkey i cant see what id every use it for, and the likleyhood of me ever cooking a whole turkey is rare.

I stored things in my oven in the travel trailer because I wouldn't use the gas oven  Just cut out the cost and use the oven as a cabinet :p

You can get an awful lot of dirty dishes in an oven-just ask my hubby. :/

If I had a small house, I'd probably look into a small stove instead of a full sized one. If you want to make cookies for instance, you wouldn't be able to do that easily in the toaster oven. So, even if you're not wanting to cook a large turkey, there may be other things that you want to cook that won't fit in the toaster oven.
