well this next 2 weeks IM on lockdown...lol, money got away from me this month so ill be going out later today to pick up a few more gallons of milk while its on sale, figure 5 gallons should see me through the next 2 weeks and i can stick a couple of those in the freezer, 1 gal is currently giving 3 days worth of bottles for the girls with poppies current consumption.
otherwise, im not allowed to spend any more money this month. simple.
i think i have my floor picked out for my kitchen, its a darker "slate" with slight white veining nice thick vinyle and its heavily textured (the biggest issue with vinyl/lino is it tends to be slick and with the dogs...yeah.
it looks nice, it feels nice and at right around $1 a sqft, assuming my measurments are correct, should be an affordable upgrade and so much easier to clean than the very discusting carpet lol. ut thats not untill next month.
next month is also fencing the back yard...so that means NO projects at all beyond those next month. (the fence will take all my "free" cash and the floor is a credit card purchase (it needs doing lol)
so that means ive got to figure out things i can do around the house that dont cost anymoney to keep me busy for the next 2 weeks.
oh well, gonna get some stuff done...be back later!
lol, i did wash them today so there now on the deck sun drying so there ready for a base coat of paint
Picked up 5 gallons of whole and 1 gallon 2% milk from the store, at $2.99 a gallon and having a chest freezer only 1/2 full i figured the girls are going to drink it sooner or later and ill need milk before the month is up too, that i stocked up...got looked at like i had 6 heads...(1 for each gallon) but its almost a whoel $1 cheaper pre gallon right now than normal, and when youve got 2 baby goat going throuh 2 1/2 gallons a week and a person going through about a gallon a week, that money adds up quickly (theres a reason i need milking goats lol i go through milk like crazy lol)
got home did some futzing in the dirt...the front flowerbed needs some serious weeding so thats a good afteroons worth of doing something lol...
and am now taking 1/2 an hour to check mail and such before i go out to feed the girls at 3pm.
planning on spritzing myself down good and proper with bug spray and taking a book and after feeding ill sit with them for a lil while...see if i can insite any curiosity from poppy at all lol.
gonna take some hooks down there with me too so i can get the minreal feeder hung up (i want to be able to remove it to rinse it out ect so scrwing it in perminentl seems like a bad idea lol)
and then a little later i want to get the base coat on those 3 plant pots.
measured out for the fence thats going around the back yard in april and 100ft will do nicely (was origionally thinking id need 150, but i measured out string and laid it out and yeah, i may even end up with a little bit left over if this happens ill just expand slightly so that theres no leftover since i dont have nay bolt cutters to cut through welded wire lol. gonna need about 10 T-posts to to it all with and that should do nicely.
once its in ill be planting birdhouse gourds, watermellon butternut and acron squash all along the perimeter to ramble up it (since they take up so much room if allowed to sprawl otherwise) 150ft of fence should give me enough room to get a deacent amount of mounds in LOL!
I think ive figured out where i want to put a couple of rows of grapes too.
and i know how i want to lay out the chicken coop area too.
i pruned up some privet branches and "planted" them in the goat pen...(i shoved the cut end into the ground so they could brows them naturally...) the girls are Loving it!
ive also discovered lilly likes her tummy rubbed...shes odd lol.
and now im nomming on my first salad of the year will be even nicer when its my own produce on my plate
