lol, me too...
sometimes cute is all the use something needs i guess
i do one day dream of adding an english or velveteen lop as a house bunny too...i LOVE the lops, the only think better than a rex or a lop...is a rex lop! lol
toay was a little unplanned. got a note form someone on w.tn poultry swap they were processing 10 chickens and wondered if id like the necks wing tips and feet for the dogs, so i whent to pick them up ended up waiting till they finnished and came home with 2 fresh processed chickens for the freezer too. though had to sort through the offal for the necks wing tips and feet (eww) as shed just tossed everything in 1 big bag, but still. theres enough for the odd treat, and the 2 chickens for the freezer more than made up for the cost of gas NOM. planning on rotiserying one while the parents are here
came home, got the hinge sorted for the 4th rabbit hutch and blackberries attempts at remodeling patched up.
tomorrow is clean cages/litterbox day so ill move everyone around then (it also makes cleaning easier as i can put 1 bun in the newly hinged cage, clean that cage out move the next into that cage, clean the next out, ect.)
its supposed to rain tomorrow though so we'll see that happens there lol.
then tuesday the temps are supposed to drop a little so painting the duck house can happen later next week
i dont think im going to get the painting indoors done before mum and dad come out...oh well.
but i am hoping to get the floor and backsplash supplies...we'll see what happens there, ive got 2 1/2 weeks to figure that out. i know im not going to get it done before they come though which is fine as i dont think id be able to move the fridge alone anyway.
still havent found anyone with a bulldozer/plow/big truck and chain with time to come to finger and rip that shed out, will admit, that job kinda scares me. once its down though i can get back to working on removing and salvaging any wood possible. i also now know theres a recycling plant in town (about 5 mins from my house) dont know what they pay for metal or how it works...thinking ill stop up there next week and see what the deal is but its close enough that i could take multiple small loads as i can get to it/pull it out.
and yeah.
its hot, currnlty 90 degrees with a feels like of 93...rabbits wernt happy BUT they survived with no additional cooling (i wasnt expecting to be out almost 4 hours this afternoon)
that area is in the shade for the hottest parts of the day anyway so im hoping it helps but i do need to stay ontop of frozen water bottles when the temps get about 85.
and on that note...rowans himi babbits will all need baths before going to thier new homes LOL. they are so dirty from climbing all over eachother ect. lol.
well, its raining...alot, which means im SOOO not doing bunny hutches today lol. supposed to rain al day into tonight and possibly some of tomorrow. yup, way to help me procrastinate on cleaning LOL.
this means im not entirely NOT sure what ill be doing today lol, but its an entirely welcome weather day for my thirsty plants...ive got tomatoes on my plants
the basil i clipped so my basil plants would "bush out" have rooted in the pot of water i had them sitting in...lol, that was kinda unexpected. im hoping to over winter at least 1 basil plant so its good to know if i can keep it going through the winter, come spring i can just clip and root some for the garden too lol.
the rose cuttings havent started sending out roots yet, but im assured they will ive given time. (about a month) so im waiting.
yeah i think i definatly need ot start getting my creative muse in gear and making some stuff, a little extra money coming in would deifnalty be nice.
today was pretty slow overall, just had pork chop and 1/2 a baked sweet potatoe for dinner, delicious!
spent most of the afternoon on skype with mum...shes given me a list of 20 houses she probably wants to see while they are here lol, she wants me to relink them to dad, let him veto any and narrow down the list along.
dad doesnt even have a job prospect lined up yet (and they wont be relocating untill hes got a firm job lined up) but shes ready and raring lol.
Pinky, there is always the house across the street from me. It's for sale by owner again. So you won't find it on any agency list. It's super nice though. I think they want 250K for it.
well dad narrowed the list a little bit...so now its aparently my job to "watch" them and remove any that get sold between now and when they come...and then its my job to watch those untill dad gets a new job lined up and can move lol. my family is odd LOL.
oh well...
watching the end of Eureka and then its bed time.
got to get the bunny hutches done tomorrow, get buns moved around and such. need a few more litterboxes and hidey houses but those will have to wait a little while. got jacks vet apt in the morning too, got to leave here by 10:15 latest.
but otherwise, no real plans for this week, weds is cleaning and i think im going to try and get the goose/duck hosue painted on thurs/fri.
well, got everyone outside sorted, will do the hutches when i get home.
loki bird is sitting tight on what was yesterday 2 eggs...we'll have to now wait and see what happens because unless she decided Cricket isnt feeding her enough and leaves the nest box, im not getting anywhere neer those eggs...shes MEAN all of a sudden lol. (and shs a parakeet, i swear those little hook beaks do more damage in a single bite than any macaw lol, id rather be bitten by jack jack than lokie!)
im hopefull, but this is her first time with a clutch in the nest box the first time shes actually decided to sit and she did detroy 3 eggs just last week
now its just a waiting game.
got jack jacks apointment at 11:20 to get his nails done in Jackson so im just finnihsing up breakfast then will be heading out. will have to make a very quick run into walmart for a couple more litterboxes for the "great rabbit move around" today.
yay more money...oh well, my own fault.
One of the meaty does (fiver) isnt looking so hot this morning...well itsnot that she doesnt look ok, she looks fine, tushy is clean ears are clean and eyes are bright...shes just not "acting" right...she just seems too mellow/lethargic and she feels a little skinny compared to the rex babies who are about the same age as her.
haystack however is looking fine but shes twice fivers size, no fighting going on, theyve got ACV in thier water bottles and i dewormed all the new kids on sunday so i just dont know, i hope shes just "mellow" but i just dont know.
If she doesnt make it ill probaby say screw it and pick up a breeding age meat doe if i can find one for cheap enough...we'll see.
anywho, that about all i got for now.
not yet sure how i feel about this apointment, meeting a new vet is always a little daunting to me, its hard to find a vet you cna get along with sometimes when you usd to work for a vet...
some dont like it as much when the pet owners have more than the basic knowledge of pet care lol
