How about Neko for one of them? That's Japanese for cat. My daughter used to have a snake she named Neko, which is the only reason I know that.

well...as predicted, momma saw the pictures and she wants one...from the pics she likes the fuzzy one (scardey kitty) but i think once she meets them she may change her mind...shes going to try and talk dad into it and then probably take one home even if he says no lol.

not much else going on right now, got some dishes to do, kitchen to tidy up but thats about it. need to wash out my trashcan (both the indoor and outdoor ones) as they smell (alreayd have the outside one Soaking with some water and some "fabuloso"...its cheap but it smells perdy without being over the top and it works lol.
dont knwo what leaked in there but there were maggots in there this morning so cleaning the trashcan it is lol.
the flys are deinfatly an issue so ill be picking up both in and outdoor fly traps this weekend if possible, i just dont knwo whats attracting them, there not realy around the rabbit hutches so much as around my backdoor...its realy odd...and yicky!

but yeah, pretty slow day planned. :D

I love the kitties! Hubby won't let us have a house kitty- he barely tolerates the barn cats that I have gotten the last few weeks- but I love the siamese color.

I don't mind cooking for one (DS#2 is picky, so he cooks his own meals, and DH is gone most of the time), but I tend to eat a lot of carbs when I cook just for me - lots of pasta. I saw on another *un-named* forum, where a lady bought a big package of chicken tenders, divided them, marinated them 5 different ways, cooked them all up on her grill, then vacuum sealed and froze them in individual portions. I thought it was a great idea, so I threw some extra chicken on the last time DH was home and we grilled out. He thought I was making extra 'just in case he was still hungry' so he ate it all! So much for my brilliant plan! I made a BLT salad for dinner yesterday - I know, bacon is not the best thing for you, but man was it good!

SSD, sounds like my DH scarfing up all the INTENTIONAL leftovers.

Pinky, on the flies, it takes some getting used to, and really that is about all you can do. In the hot humid South, we has flies. That's why i love muscovy ducks! Those babies do the "Hoover maneuver" on those things in the back yard :D They just suck them all right up ;)

well, i ended up actally being quite productive today.
weather forcast says rain for next week so i grabed the brush and the can of pink and whent and got the ducky house painted. it looks good :D

i want to paint the trim peices white :D but i need another gallon of white to do that...will get a pic in a little while when i go to put them in. it matches the hutches now and i dont have to worry about the rain :)

Spent a little time playing with the kitties. mum says shes taking one for sure shes just not sure which yet. shes thinking the more outgoing one given the fact that the drive home would be stressfull and then meating the dogs and such...but weve got about a month before then so they could be completly different kitties.
so right now ive given her the task to name her baby lol.
dad saw them and said "there cute" and told mum "if you want one" (which actally means "i kind want one" in daddy speak) mum LOES ragdolls and has always wanted one, dad adores siamese and would have another pure bred meezer in a heart beat.
Dad says Annie...mum wants to think on it a little :)

which ever one mum doesnt take is staying as long as they settle with the dogs. lol. there too cute and theres nothing bad about another mouser in the house.
(and this one would be a house cat)

on a not so positive note...
i domt think the little fuzzy lop Pip is long for this world...
he drank a minute amount today but refused to eat.
theres no outward signs of illness and the tummy feels normal, i just dont know what to do at this point.
i checked on him this evening and thought he was gone, he was just lifeless and limp when i picked him up...but once up he perked up and once i put him back in his hutch he hopped around a bit but then right back to the corner where he rested his head on his litterbox.
:(

its so frutrating.

Haystack the doe that was in with fiver (the doe that passed) is FINE, eating well, active ect. the 2 holland does that came form the same vendor also seem to be fine
this little guy came from a different vendor, so i it was something communicable that fiver had id expect the others and not this little guy to be ill...but instead hes sick :( and i dont know why which is even worse.
eyes ears and nose are clean, no discharge.
poop is normal and hes urinating normally
belly feels normal no bloating.
feet are clean...
he ate well sunday through tuesday, tuesday evening he seemed slow, tonight he seems like hes about ready to go to sleep and not come back :(
hes only had pellet and grass hay, water has Apple Cider Vinegar added which he seemed to like sunday-tuesday. but as of yesterday he hasnt drank much at all
im just at a loss.
if hes still wit us tomorrow ill be bringing him inside and forcing some water in him.

the ONLY thing that makes sense is GI Status, but even that doesnt seem quite right as his poop is otherwise "normal" and hes not bloated.

Maybe it's the ACV? What kind did you get? Are they old enough for it to not disturb their digestion? I dunno....just seems weird, and seems like the only thing they are getting now that they probably weren't getting prior is the ACV :hu

its brags,
I was told by the vet to add it so it should be fine, (had all my babbits on it since they were old enough to drink and the other 3 are doing great (they also have acv in the water and look great) i sked her when i broguht them home if it would be an issue and she said shed suggest adding it because it woudl help them adjust...
if i force feed him water though itll be plain.
its also 1/2 a teaspoon in 32oz so its barely a splash...

it is totally weird...

if they were form the same vendor or all the buns were acting odd then id say either the ACV or something they came in with...but to have 2 from different vendors and yet the others all be ok *touch wood* so odd.

my best guess right now is he got stressed and hot on saturday, then sunday was HOT and then monday was wet...and im wondering if the stress and the heat and then the damp has just kicked his fluffy little tush given hes got so much extra fluff compared to everyone else.
