We have "suckers" centered over the house  22 cats at the moment and I am sure kittens are on the way. If we could catch them we'd fix em but you can't EVER catch them except for two or three.

even 1 or 2 at a time helps...

theres a few strays around here that once ive got some extra money ill be renting some live traps and dropping them off with the low cost spay/neuter folks
i know theres a young tortie female out there because i thought it was willow cept she has a white chin, and ive seen a black and white, an orange tabby, and a solid black toms hanging around too so ive no doubt that the one tortie is probably ging to be a momma as the boys were around alot a few weeks ago...and not so much with the boys now.

Sucker would definatly be what i have tattooed to my forehead lol.

I know but the catchable ones are males, and THOSE wouldn't help because of stray toms.

yeah definatly doesnt help quite as much...

as a side note...
gotta love people who think they can "talk you down"

someone wants me to not only hold 3 baby bunnies for the next almost 3 weeks, but do it without a deposit and sell them at about 1/2 my "best" package price...
and even better they want them for show/breeding so id be shooting myself in the foot selling them for pennies on the dollar so they can become my competition about 6 months down the line. LOL.

yeah, dont get me wrong, i have no probelms selling to other breeders/show folk...BUT
If you want quality you pay for quality, im not going to discount my discount because you dont want to pay for quality, and im certinaly not going to discount my discount and then hold them for that long wihtout some form of deposit to do so. I need to sell them so i can buy rabbit food to feed the rest of the heard
as a side note, my asking price currently is lower than the normla asking price for partial ped standards, so while i may be hgh for the local "rabbit market" im not high for the breed i have (with bpeds ive seen s.rex of my quality going for $50 up for juniors, and with full peds and show parents, ive seen upwards of $70...
im asking $20, i dont think thats all that high realy, especially given flea market bunnies are going for 10-15 for rex of unknown parentedge.
there was 1 guy at first mondays with standard rex, he had some 12 week olds that looked nothing like standards (small and wrong body type) going for $20 a peice (and he sold all 6 at that price before e were finnished and we were only there for 2 hours) and he had 4 young adults who wernt in good condtiion at all coat wise, which he was selling at $30 each and he sold 3 of the 4 at that price before wed left.

*shrugs* if she realy wants them, shell come back to me...
if not shell find someone cheaper and will learn pretty quickly that in rex you often get what you pay for...
between size, coat and temperment being 3 key points for show...you gotta know what your getting into.

anywho.

pip is still doing ok this morning and theres finally poops (and plenty of them) in his hutch (there hasnt been anypoops for a few days) so im hoping whatever was bocking him up is gone and he perks up quickly. he ate pellets last night too, not much, but he is eating. woot!
Ash, the cage mate (and sister) of the one that died yesterday seems to be doing fine...im mildly paranoid at this point and keep peering out the window to watch for ear twitches and movment in the 2 of them...

everyone is otherwise fine this morning, going to try and take some new kitten pictures today and mabe do some sorting out in the craft room, get all my little wooden plauques out and spray painted with a base coat so i can paint them all up with flowers and hopefully sell them.
need to get rowans litter Sold before the end of the month, i cant afford to build a seperate grow out pen right now and there getting big fast. plus i need the money.

and realy, thats all there is for this morning, so...off i go.

well today is clean the house day and im on zero motivation. lol.
but i wil get to it before the days end, honest.
got a sink full of dishes to do, mum and dad are comming out in a week and a half so got to start getting things sorted for that, not that i have much to do on that front.

need to get rowans babies sold so ive lowere the price online to $15, i dont realy have the money to drive to crump this weekend to try and sell them at the flea market so heres to hoping i get more bites now.
got to go into Selmer tomorrow and my bank account is going to be incredibly angry at me if i hve to fill my car up so i need to avoid additional driving for the next 2 weeks especilly if i dont get these bunnies sold.
ive decided im also going to sell this litters momma rowan. shes the only bunny i CANT get litter trained andim having to clean her house 3 times a day just to keep the flies under control, costing me alot more in shavings thn it shoudl be and i want more color in the herd...Shes a great momma, had a good big litter, but shes a little more trouble than shes worth right now.
so going to be asking $25 for her as a proven doe and can expose her to my buck if her buyer wants.
yup trying to stick to my "if its not workng fix it" rule and Rowan just isnt working in the group right now...
shes the only bunny i drad each dy because i know im going to have to scoop her entire cage AGAIN every time i go outside.

otherwise, pip tried some spinach today, im consitently finding poop so im thinking it must have been some kind of gi issue, hes perked up a little, still not as active as the other buns, but he has perked up so thats a good sign. the black holland doe whos cage mates ot the one i lost the other day is also doing just fine, eating drinking and hopping around, as is my "generic white bunny" Haystack so ive got fingers crossed that were over that annoying death bump!.

The goslings re doing great, entered the funky teenager stage of life where they have got their belly and wing feahters but down elsewhere, but there so funny! they keep the ducks in line too! they still follow me around but now have no interest in letting my pick them up anymore, my babies realy are teens lol. going to try and catch them in the next few days and give vent sexing them another attempt, its supposedly easier now there a little older and i want to be a lttle more sure of their sexes before i go bringing them home a boyfriend. still holing out that i ave a pair because personality wise they are quite different, dandelion is defintly the bossy one, she will bite the ducks tails if they dont move out of her way fast enough, shes also got a much more slender head, where as burdock is quieter, "her' bill is takng a lot longer to loose its black (there a "pink" billed breed and the head is "heavier")
id LOVE it if they were a pair.
The ducks are funny too, i can now officially pick out "mr. Puddleduck" in the group as hes now got his big boy "quack" which realy sounds like hes hoarse while the girls are very defnitivly ducky qucking he sounds like hes got a cold LOL, im glad i whent with the black runners, seeing them in the sun, they are just STUNNING, the plumage on their wings and sides turns green blue and purple depending on how the light hits it. now lets just hope when they get to laying they hold up to the legend that is the runner...they are very good forragers though, fast to find food and i cant wait untill i can get the area that will be the orchard fenced in as that will become part of thier territory, its essentially a big clover feild for them to run around nomming their way through.

the goats are doing fine...realy need ot figure out how im doing thier portable pen though so i can get them out browsing during the day without having to worry. the neighbors dog "broke his chain" again yesterday (i nearly hit him with my car as he came bounding off thier front porch into the road at my car...bt its ok, no worries as the neighbor tells me...he gave him a "Good whoopin" and he knows what it was for so he wont be doing it again) *grumbles*
so i just cant tie em out i need somehting a little more secure and cant afford attle pannels or electro net right now.

Im thinking a 50ft roll of welded wire and some t-posts and just doing it liek a round pen. i can handle the 50ft roll by myself (its a little more arkward when its all unraveled trying to move it but not all that much of an issue as its ligth enough to drag) and then once there in thier perminent pen it gives me 50ft of welded wire to use for other projects...

veggie garden is doing ok, im pretty sure my spinach and lettuce are going to bolt soon so im leaving them as rabbit food and taking the odd leaf as it come. the peas seem to be doing well too and my roma tomatoes are doing nicely in terms fo fruit...the marion and big boys not to much on the fruiting though...
pepper plants arnt that large but loaded with flowers so im not sure how there going to turn out lol.
definatly got lots of plans for next year in terms of the veggies
im getting there...slowly but surely lol.

well not much going on today, need to make lists according to dad of everything i need doing, everything i want doing and everything i PLAN to do over the next lord knows how long. (i think its so he can pick and choose some projects to do while hes here)
whent out this morning to pick up some stuff and my fleamarket buddy gave me about 2 pints of fresh goats milk yogurt (which is NOT going to be around long at all in this house, i LOVE yogurt!) and 4 dozen small-medium eggs, her hens have just realy picked up rpduction for the season but the eggs are realy too small to market well so rather than toss them back to the chickens she gave me alot...

but my gas tank is readying at 1/8th and ive got no gas money so im REALY hoping the baby bunnies sell asap as i cant afford to get them down to the flea market this weekend, heck cant affor to go anywhere for the next couple of weeks now. dont know why or how but the beginning of this month ran away with my budget so im on lock down lol.

feeling a little defeated today to tell the truth dont understand why ive got no bites on the baby bunnies...why i allowed my budget to go haywire this month or why im even bothering right now, add to it tht my back started spasaming a few days ago and has been making life realy difficult.
we just had a little rainshower come through and i stood out for a few mins and just closed my eyes and asked the earth for some guidance.
I dont know if its timing or color on this litter thats making them so hard to sell, i know school vacation for summer is comming up...mabe people not interested because there going on vaca and such?! but either way ts frustrating as i had Bluebells last litter sold at 5 weeks at full asking price with no issues and this litter i cant seem to get any solid bites on. *grr* but definatly has me questioning the buns as a small income maker right now.

Sigh
the good news is...i know everyone has days like this and know this funk will eventually pass, i just hope things pick up soon.

I'm right there w/you Pinky. I have a feeling I'm not going to get that summer job. I've heard nothing. :( And I could have really used that money. Guess I'll be pulling the belt a bit tighter. :hugs
