well today is going to be a tough day...
leo and mouse both go home this afternoon.
part of me is ready lol, they are tearing round my room like crazy, dirving all over the place, making the tyical messes kittens make ect...
but the other part of me always has a hard time wth "graduation day"
ill still have my litle peanut running around here causing mischeif, but 1 is much easier to handle than 3, and im sure momma is ready for the break lol, shes been an excelent mommy. even afte her spay when the vet was certain shed be tender and not herself she was with those babies, playing, teaching them to pounce and chase and bopping thme on the head if they got too rowdy lol.
ruby will miss them more than tempi i think lol, they curl up wiht her on the couch and play pounce on rubies tail, if i tell her to find the babies she runs around looking for them...
so i do have some chores to do this morning, like cleaning out jacks cage and a quick run around of the vacume again...( i will not miss litter EVERYWHERE after they leave lol) and take my trash out.
then at some point today im going to take dad to the garden center for yet a few more bags of mulch (the 2 newly mulched beds look soo nice that the others look like they were never done lol) and a few more plants...
ive got 2 more beds to finnish out this year (and assuming everything survivies mum and dad shoudlnt have to do anymore planting in the flower beds unless they want to after i move out...just weed and remulch each year.
side note:
for the veggie growers...
out little veggie patch is doing VERY well...except for a few things...
the carrot seeds...for the life of me i cant seem to be able to get more than a couple ot sprout...should i try reseeding my carrot spots or since everything else is growing well should i just put something else in those spots as the carrots dont seem to like it there?
and our cucumber plants...again everything else is doing well in there, the peas and beans are in that bed and doing fine, but only 2 of the cucumber plants of the 4 seem to be alive and they dont seem to be thriving.
the good news is everythng else s growing like crazy which makes me very happy, the onioions seem to be the happiest and the lettuce lol
this is my first attempt at real veggie gardening, weve done pots on the deck and patio in prevous years and ive never been happy with thier production, probbaly because they dry out too quickly...our deck gets too hot and bright even for tomatoes sometimes
any tips for carrots and cucumbers...
oh and basil, the basil doesnt look very happy either (the cilantro, parsley and rosemary are all thriving though.)
the cucumbers and basil have similar symptoms the leaves are wilted and white, the newer leaves at the top look fine and healthy, but most of the lower leaves look like theyve been bleached.
