Aly, just caught up on this post and I'm so sorry! I had this done to me by a sister that I hadn't seen in years and she was just trying to hurt me.

I am proud of you for not letting them in the home....I was too young and dumb and invited them right on in!

I'm so sorry you are going through all this; the hurtful family, the move, Ernie's surgery. Things have just piled on top of you.

Maybe when the Social Worker comes, you could have a place set up outside. Somthing like a little table with lemonade and cookies or something. That way she may just think that you "prefer" to be outside instead of her thinking you are "hiding" something from her.

But, I agree, don't let her inside if you don't have to.

Looks like we don't have a choice. They said that they will get a court order for us to cooperate with them. Not a search warrant to come into the home mind you, but a court order for our cooperation.

I've been advised not to discuss it with anyone anymore, so I appreciate all the prayers and positive thoughts, but won't post about it until the case is closed. I will let ya'll know when it is closed, though.

For now, I can't wait to get Monday over with.

Almost forgot!

We went down and got the phone number for the house down the street. It's HUGE! Has a huge deck on the side of the house, full basement. Three bedrooms.

We only peeked in the windows (shame on us! lol) and we got the phone number. I've called and left a message, just waiting to hear back.

Well, if you really want a good neighbor, the house right next door to me may be coming available.....1.5 acres, tiny house, but it does have running water! The next neighboring property is the xmas tree farm, also great people. Sounds like you need to ultimately move 4 states away, not 4 houses away. I'll keep the light on for ya!
