Moving completely away solves a lot of problems. It did for me and my kids. I had family problems sort of like yours....my sister even loosened the lug nuts on one of my tires before I went to work, stole stuff out of my garage and outbuildings and just made our lives miserable.

We have been so happy since moving away from all that hatred. :)They continue to bring me into all their arguments and Hatorade conversations, which I hear about from my mother, but I---blessedly---don't have to be near all that. I finally told my mother that I didn't want any updates on how much they hate me and so she doesn't tell me anymore.

Its sort of like, out of sight, out of mind and I don't have to worry about a wheel falling off my car on the way to work, nor about my dog getting poisoned, or anything else of which we've been threatened.

Not a bad idea at all, free! ;)

I can't believe how hateful family can be toward each other. I feel so blessed to only having been mildly annoyed by my family, but never in any fear of them.

Aly, you are in my prayers.

My evil family members all had the courtesy to DIE! Cancer finally got the lot.

I think they were eaten up from the inside out because they were so full of meanness.

Sounds horrible to say, but it really was a relief when they have been driving you crazy your whole life.

Prayers are with you Aly.

Well, if you really want a good neighbor, the house right next door to me may be coming available.....1.5 acres, tiny house, but it does have running water! The next neighboring property is the xmas tree farm, also great people. :hugs Sounds like you need to ultimately move 4 states away, not 4 houses away. I'll keep the light on for ya! :frow
HOW small is the house? It has to fit 5 kids plus 2 adults.

I'm really poor company right now. I am really really really tired of just everything.

My evil family members (inlaws) seem to think they have too much money to die, and they think because they have money no one can touch them.

Some of the cemeteries around here have REALLY expensive mausoleums.

So ... I guess you can die even if you are really rich.

So something kind of funny just happened...two minutes ago I get a bill collection call...and they're asking for the BIL from you know where that just moved up from Florida.

First, he's never lived here! second, he's never had this number for his phone number.

I politely explained to her that she had the wrong number, but if she'd wait just a minute while I whipped out my address book I'd be happy to supply her with BOTH my BIL's cell phone number and his wife's cell phone number. I then explained that those were the only phone numbers available for them, as they don't have a landline and only use the cells.

:gig

I'm quite pleased with meself.

In Texas there was a family who had an identical last name - they were NOT related and we never met. However, they were not published in the telephone directory. We used to get calls all the time from bill collectors looking for this woman. They rarely believed that they had the wrong number or that I was not related in some way. I hung up on a LOT of bill collectors in those days!

I have been getting quite a few of these of late. DD#2 who is currently "walking on the wild side", because we were trying to "ruin her life".

So I want to know - can you do something about being harassed for someone ELSE'S bad credit? She has lived on her own for over three years now, so unless she is still giving out our number as her home number, I have no idea how they are getting it.

how's this one for you....my uncle and his wife stole my father's identity, stole money from their company, opened up all kinds of credit cards in his name and then didn't pay the bills, and didn't pay the taxes for the company for who knows how many years (my aunt did the books for my uncle and dad's construction company). All of a sudden my parents start getting all these phone calls from collection agencies AND the IRS. They ended up having to take out a home equity loan just to pay off all the bills. My father refused to press charges. He said that as a christian he just couldn't do it to his brother. Crazies in the family......we've all got em!

Hope everything gets better darlin'!

Guess what?!

We might have a place! Right now it's dependent on if we can come up with the $ down to move in and have enough to pay this months bills plus the gas money to get Ernie to his Dr. appts this month. Right now, the deposit and first months rent will take most of our monthly income, not leaving anything to pay utilities, etc, so we're really praying, talking, and doing some deciding about what we can do.

I don't have to give up any of my animals. The landlord is even going to use his back hoe and dig out a pond for my ducks! There's a stream on the front side of the property, an outbuilding that the landlord said we can turn into a chicken coop, a fresh running spring, and he said we can put up pasture for the two cows. He even showed us where we can run our fence!

Emmy will have to go somewhere else, and this is by my choice. He was OK with Emmy coming, too, but I'm not sure we should take a pony to what's going to be a smaller space than we have now.

We're going from 7 acres to 3 acres.

The landlord said we can do anything we want to the place as long as it is all improving, not tearing up. :celebrate

Ok, so what helps is, we've been friends with this gentleman for years, he knows the history with the family, and he has allowed Ernie to hunt his land for years.

He is the same landlord for the house down the road from us, but it isn't the house 4 houses down that we'll be renting :D He showed us another property that he owns. The former tenants were obviously slobs, never mowed, looks like they didn't clean the house, either, so there's cleaning and stuff to be done. We're super excited!

We are hoping to get a contract signed soon, as we will be signing a one year lease, with option to buy on land contract at the end of the lease. :celebrate

It's a basement home, bigger than our trailer, only 1 bathroom, but that's OK it has running water!

The former tenants are still moving some of their stuff out, but they weren't there when the landlord took us there. In fact, the house was wide open when we showed up. He really wanted to clean the place up first before he showed it to us, but we told him we were understanding about messes, I mean, I've been to my mom's house :duc

Anyway, while we were looking at the house, the former tenant shows up and tells him "I don't have a key" so I whispered "can we change the locks" landlord shakes his head yes and then he looked at the guy and said, "Soon as you are done moving out, they'll be getting the place." The guy looks at us and asks, "Are you moving in tomorrow?"

Ya'll, I was like, how dumb can a person be? Does he really think we'd move into it while it was filthy? Because honestly, it's filthy! The walls need washed, the floors need mopped, no real repairs needed, just a good, deep cleaning.

Oh and the bathroom walls are purple, but we've obtained permission to repaint that to any color we want
