I would sure appreciate it if you would email me the pics so I can add them to the flock's journal before closing it out. :)

Hi Aly, the first ladies look happy! Sorry about the predator losses, we think we finally got our culprit when we caught the coon. Ernie looks like he is doing well...happy despite having to wear that back brace. When my papa broke his back we had to fight him to keep him in the back brace long enough

Ernie was having some mixed emotions. We felt guilt for taking the First Ladies, and at the same time, enjoy getting to spend time with them.

This morning we went out to check on the ladies, and Pat siddled right up to us for some petting on her fluffly backside. The rest of the First Ladies eyeballed us, and left us with a very distinct impression that we were NOT the right person to be bringing their morning food and water, and they were less than pleased with our disturbing them at 7 am :gig Most of them were still on the roost, but Sam and Patsy were the first ones out in the run this morning. Sam was crowing as loud as he could...In fact, there's several crowing competitions going on out there right now!

Quail,

you are a blessing to kel for her just knowing that her birds will be well taken care of.

It's nice to be able to help someone else in need.

The flock is probably wondering why no one sang the "good night" song and the "good morning" song!

Patsy has not roosted much since she started internal egg laying. She has been sleeping in one of the nest boxes and we just would keep an eye out that she didn't try to sleep under the roosts.....

I wish we could have brought the rest of the nest boxes (I still have 8 here), but we couldn't get them off the walls!

Poor Frances is a miserable molter!

Sam was crowing as loud as he could...In fact, there's several crowing competitions going on out there right now!

Everyone is doing well today. I once again was without a phone/internet all day yesterday and most of today. They just got it repaired. :/

I am going to be opening the door for the First Ladies and Sam in a little bit and let them venture outside. I think they would really like to get out on the grass. They still look at me with this distinct look of, "You're not who we're expecting."

Sam has been very good so far. We'll see how long that lasts

They are used to be greeted with "There are my pretty chicks!" "How are the Ladies today?" :gig

Lou hears, "Chick, chick; How's my girl?" But you have to say it in a sing-song fashion to match her "chick chick" .... I TOLD you they were spoiled!

I left rooster sticks - they will keep Sam 5 feet away.......
