For some reason there's a cadre of what I call 'genetics police' over there that just need to be shut down. They decide someone doesn't have whatever and go after them constantly. Next time that happens over there, Aly, PM me so I can see it, too. I've squashed a few of them and wouldn't mind doing it again

I liked the moderator's response when it was closed though.....

honestly if the eggs are not for birds you're interested in, just don't bid. How hard is that???

OR if a potential buyer is asking the seller a question, why not let the seller answer that question isntead of someone who's never SEEN the birds answer it?

I liked her response, too.

Ann, I was going to pm you, but I didn't want to be a whiney tattle tale  The thread is still there, just locked.

It's going to be alright. I have one more order of them to send today, another member there who wants a dozen the first week of September (and they didn't complain about the color!), and I'm planning to fill my 'bator with them so I can have chicks to sell at the Mount Hope Swap.

I have seen pictures of those birds. I think they are beautiful no matter WHAT they are called.

I had a mottled cochin pullet when I was a child - she had LOTS of white in her coloring. I had people telling me she was so wrong I should have culled her!

Same folks had little to say when she was made GRAND CHAMPION pullet at the biggest Bantam show in our area that year.

I hate no it alls.

I posted pictures of my roo, George, over there. He is a silkie. His father was buff. His mother could have been any number of colors. All I did was share the picture. Then followed a discussion of whether he was a splash or not. What he is is a mutt. I never claimed he was anything more than that. I let them go at it.......

I don't think people have anything better to do than pick apart someone else's birds.

They are probably jealous because either 1) they don't have what we have or 2) what we have, in their eyes anyway, is better than what they have.

Maybe they aren't happy with what they have, so they try to take someone down with them? :duc

Some people must have way too much time on there hands. They should be focusing on building their own flock instead of tearing apart someone else's.

Too often we see how someone tries to make themselves and their stuff look better by criticizing and tearing apart someone else. In the long run that tactic generally comes back around to bite the critic. :tongue

Aly, I still want some of your BLRW, when you have eggs to spare and when I have some space of my own. LOL

....but not one of mine!

I haven't heard from keljonma to know if they'll still be needing the truck, or if they'll be down today. I'm hoping that once I leave the library here and get home she'll be in my driveway

Oh yea, no phone or internet access yet AGAIN. This time when I called in the trouble report I told them "I want someone to physically drive UP my driveway, get out of their truck and CHECK the lines on my property. I don't know how I can word that any clearer! It's plain English!" as I've requested they check the phone stuff at my house 3 times now! They said they put it right on the front of the work ticket. We'll see.

I think today is going to be a loooooong day.

I hate waiting.

We used to have problems with our old phone line all the time. Then one day a different person showed up from out of state. He was working on another job and had time so they sent him out to my line. Seems they tried and tried to fix my line but couldn't so they sent a fresh pair of eyes to check it. He said our complaint ticket was labeled "Hot" since we called and complained so many times. I didn't think I called THAT many times. LOL! So the squeeky wheel does get the grease. I just wish they would have told me that they had tried and tried and that they were going to send someone else out instead of leaving me hanging.
