Good luck! My parents are finally getting somewhere with their phone. After their third call that they were losing service in the middle of a call, that they don't have reliable cell service at their house AND that my father has a heart condition AND threatening to switch back to At&T they finally got the cable company to come out and check beyond their house. They had to dig up wires across the street and found worn parts which they will be replacing and upgrading. In the meantime they were able to fix enough that my parents' phone seems to work for now.

So the phone tech stops out and tells me, get this, that the problem isn't with my lines, the lines at the road, box, etc...but a problem in the corporate office!!!!!! He said he's not sure if it was struck by lightning or if they just need to flip a switch...

ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME????????!!!!!!!!!! FLIP A SWITCH!!!!! It took FOUR calls to the office and FOUR DIFFERENT technicians to figure out they might need to FLIP A SWITCH????????

I'm going to FLIP A SWITCH :rant :somad :barnie

One of the times we moved, we were waiting for them to get our phone turned on. I finally called them and told them (without too much anger) that my dh & I were both in law enforcement (we were, he was a city cop and I was a correctional officer) and had to have the telephone on because of our jobs. By the time I had walked next door to my house the phone was on - they just needed to flip a switch !!

Aly, a call to the Public Service Commission will get your phone back on lickety-split! I once waited for 2 months to get a phone installed with many, many different excuses given as to why it was delayed. I made a little call from a pay phone on a Friday evening and a phone guy showed up on Sunday afternoon....yes, on a Sunday!....and had it done in an hour.

That's not the first time I've had to call that office and have always received a prompt response and results.

I sent you an email. It seems I was on the wrong page; God is keeping us in Ashtabula County, my friend. :hugs
YAY! Congratulations! Honestly, Ernie and I had a gut feeling that God provided a place at the last minute! We're thrilled for you! Now, I just need to know if the First Ladies are allowed at the new place, or are they permanent residents here now? :p

My phone is once again working, for how long, not sure. But the technician called me, said I've got you working again...and then he explained how he tore out ALL the lines from my house to Scio and re-spliced them. He's been working on them all day and just finished at around 4:45 pm. I felt so bad. He said he is going to call us in the morning to make sure the phone is still working. He said if it goes out again, he'll start over.

In other news, my third (actually would be the 4th but one pipped, zipped, and died) Speckled Sussex chick just hatched, with two more pips! I'm happy to be adding to my small flock of Sussex.

I really can't take anymore family drama.

The BIL is asking us to trust him regarding a major thing, and I just feel he's sticking his nose again where it doesn't belong.

Now they want us to come to spoiled brats b-day party tomorrow.

I don't think they are going to leave us alone, ever, not until I'm either 6 ft under or Ernie and I separate (which I don't see happening soon).

It's 3:34 am, and I just watched my fifth speckled sussex chick hatch!

I'm so excited for these little chickies! Plus, they survived a temp spike of 107 degrees!!! WHOOOHOOOO!!

I've done a lot of praying over these eggs, and so has the BYC'er who sent them. They're new additions to my flock of Speckled Sussex, and it's going to put some new bloodlines from Non Hatchery stock in my flock.

WOOT!
