Yes, we did get several things done. I managed to get the ducks penned back up, and set them up properly with better feeding/watering system.

Fixed up a broody box for my broody Blue Laced Red Wyandotte. I have both Welsummer and BLRW eggs coming next week to tuck under her. (she's on 3 eggs now, but I plan to remove those as I don't think they are doing anything.)

Inherited the neighbors puppy. Their 14 yo daughter brought him home without asking, lied, too, about where she got him, and then moved in with her grandmother leaving the pup behind. Her parents didn't want him since they have a small house, small yard, and two big dogs already. He's staying with us now, and the kids named him Riley. Not sure how long he'll be staying, as we are probably going to look for him a new home. No way can I have five dogs!

Then we got some cleaning up done across the road where we have a locust down for future fence posts. We're cleaning out a path so we can pull them out of the woods. Looks like we're going to get about 12-15 posts total. Enough to finish our pasture! :ya

Then I broke ground on the coop addition. I started digging it out, and of course that means everyone has to come check for bugs! :p Pat Nixon, the White Wyandotte, was my right hand man, er...hen? She was right there walking down the way with each new spot I dug up, picking out all the bugs and earthworms she could find. She was quite pleased with herself.

That is, until Monroe decided to try to sneak in a little hanky panky with her while she was bug hunting.

This didn't go over well with Jett, who always wants whomever Monroe wants....

So Jett inevitably became Pat's Knight in Black Armor.....but she promptly snubbed him, too, and went right back to hunting bugs with me :gig

So I bit the bullet and deleted some old pictures out of my uploads here so I could share some recent pics with ya'll. I tried to only choose pics that didn't matter to delete (Nifty, we need more photo storage space!!!!!)

Here are some pics of my half of the Bantam Grab Bag that Becca and I are hoping to sell at the Mt Hope Swap in October (I am not keeping any I am not keeping any I am not keeping any.....)

Pat always was one to lend a "hand".

Poor Pat - just trying to get some work done and completely surrounded by meddling menfolk (Monroe, Jett, Quincy and Polk)!

I second the storage space! I'm full, yet again! I'm going to use photobucket instead.

What are those cute little browny orangey ones at the bottom?
