meh, it's alright, TTs Chicks. I can say I tried my hand at raising a pig....or 4....

even if it was only for a month.
I think if we work out a better set up, next time - if there is a next time - will be better.
Talked with my kids' 4-H director about those two pigs that are left, and she said they'd make good 4-H pigs for someone, so we're going to advertise the other two as possible 4-H projects to the locals.
We'll make some kid happy, we'll be happy, and the pigs will still get ate. Win win.
The duck hatch is still going on. I had 7 hatch out of nine eggs that made it to the end out of the eggs I had set. One duck expired shortly after hatch, there was something just not right, so I ended up with 6 ducklings from the eggs I set.
Becca had set some eggs, and they were supposed to go into lock down on Sunday, but she's gone for a wedding, so we carefully packed up the duck eggs and moved them to my 'bator Sunday evening.
The ducks started to hatch on Monday. One fully hatched by I think Monday afternoon/evening, and we've had five hatch out today. We're up to 12 ducklings! We have 3 more eggs in the 'bator, 1 of which I'm pretty sure is dead, and 1 zipping and the last one is pipped.
My DD is excited, as she's picking 2 of these ducks for her 4-H pet duck project. We're planning to keep all of the females, soon as we know which ones they are, for our egg laying duck flock. We've already found a possible buyer for some of the males once they're mostly raised up for meat ducks.
whoot!
Ducks are waaaaaaaaaay easier than pigs!
